Default Flordia trooper mustang

I started another thread titled mustang beginings, Basically getting my plan together, estimating cost (which I will post the estimate and total cost after the conversion is done) At this point most parts have been gathered, car is in hand and under the knife.
Found the car for sell as a roller already had roll cage, drive shaft loop, sub frame connectors, battery in the trunk, 90/10 in the front 50/50 in the back, and 3.73 gears with a fresh clutch pack.
Plan for the car is to have a fun street car I wouldn't hesitate to take on a road trip. I want to leave the stock wheels, change to a stiffer suspension, adding back, heater box, radio, wipers ect. Going to be a 2004 ls1 from a gto with a six speed. After getting it going I'de like to add in the a/c stuff too. With the combination with the skinny tires the car might be more of a drifter than anything.

Car might end up going back to its roots with a spot light and correct paint. Ford guys would be even more pissed knowing you buchered a HPP right? Still up in the air on that like the all black too. Input is welcome

68 lemans you got that car rolling. I was torn on doing something more like yours. 6.0 l9 heads with carb or fast intake and 4l60. Really wanted to do a manual street type set up as one of my other vehicles is a 72 chevy tuck with a 6.0 auto. Bought some spring perches from you ealier this year, work great.

How did you ever get four mufflers under that thing? What does that sound like?

Some pics of my engine bay. Before and after I cleaned it up a bit. Got my Aje member in there. I welded up all the holes and painted it too. Ford really swiss cheesed these things. I also pulled the dash to add a heater box, mount computor, swap over a t-bird pedal assembly and mount up my slave. Also going thocut out the side of the roll cage(know I won't want to drive it often having to climb over that bastard) Go though my dash harness and take out all unused wires and tie in the GTO harness.

My wife picked up the goat drive train for me as I work six days a week. I went ahead and did my harness before unloading it. . I removed all the wires and connectors I won't be using and pulled out my power wires, Gage hook ups, fan an fuel pump relay wires and diagnosic hook up. Definatly not a bad job glad I did not send it out. Got a hp tuner to deal with the VATS and delete all the emission codes I set. Hopefully tune some extra power out of it too.

Looking good man.
My ls fox is coming along pretty good aswell. I've got the motor sitting in the car with the 4l80e bolted up to the back of it. I'm waiting for my subframe connectors to come in so I can mount up my crossmemeber for the transmission. I'm mounting it to the connectors. The damn 4L80 is so long I cant even think about using the stock mustang location. I've just picked up my longtubes and can't wait to get them installed. You can check out my build, its in my sig. Just use the username and password I have to log in.

GTO pans are wrong in all the right places, Front hump comes down right on the rack and k-member. Got a camaro oil pan bolted on and got my 4an line mounted on the slave cylinder. Planned on doing the clutch while in there but it looked great. That left me with no line up tool to reinstall, but the trans went back on suprizenly well.
Got a set of kook headers from a member and just got them back from coating.
The swap stuff super easy so far the hard part on this car has been finding and putting all the stuff back on I want. Heater box, wiper stuff, horn, washer jug, pre-existing wiring problems ect. Got all that stuff worked out this weekend thanks to a local guy that has a few junkers.
