Got a few more things done today. Made the downpipe for the wastegate, trimmed the core support, got the intercooler mounted, and got the turbo connected to the intercooler. We are thinking of finishing the cold side (coming out of the intercooler) in aluminum.
At some point this week we are going to order a bigger radiator and some fans, so that'll be the next step of the project.

Hey guys,
Made some progress over the last few weekends. Pretty much handled the wiring, got the radiator positioned (but not mounted in yet), sprayed and wrapped the headers. Still need to get the aluminum intake tubing welded and mount the BOV.
The next big project we are going to tackle is making some sold engine mounts, changing the tranny mount, and making a new cross member for the tranny. Also we need to tackle the inner fenders. They are going to need a good amount of modding to be able to fit around the turbo stuff.
Its looking like next weekend is going to be pretty busy, so we shall see how much work we can get done... So much to do, so little time!
Anyways, here are some pics of the progress. Enjoy!
All wired up

Lookin pretty good with the fenders on!

Gettin an idea where the intake tubing will go

Headers all sprayed up

Oh, and one more update: We were going to be using the GT76 on this build but we just got an upgrade. Eviltwin finally located a pt88 (going to be insane!) for his SY, so we are now going to be using his TC78 on the Typhoon build. Exciting stuff!
Until next time,
Take it easy

Got some good work done last weekend. Woulda posted the update sooner, but was swamped at work all week.
We made some solid motor mounts and got them installed. We figured this would be a better route, since our clearances are pretty tight in spots.
Makin' the mounts:

Installed:

Also, got the TC78 all prepped and bolted up to the TY. She looks goooooood on there! Exciting stuff!

We have been working on a bunch of little loose ends that needed to get finished. Got the steering hooked back up, made a bracket and got the throttle cable hooked up, mounted the radiator, cleaned up part of the wiring harness, got a base tune on the esc, mounted a battery in the back of the Ty, and tapped and installed a 90 degree fitting on the water pump so we wont have clearance issues when the hose is installed.
No earth-shattering changes, but all things that needed to get finished. Getting closer and closer every week. Gotta love it!

Worked on it more tonight. Got the coils wired up, headlights in, both fenders on, etc. Feels good to be putting things back together, instead of ripping it all apart.
Here are a few pics of the progress. Sorry they are a bit blurry, but it was gettin dark out there.
