how much is the adapter to hook the 4l80 to the stock t case? and why not go with a 4 inch downpipe? The truck is sweet and sounds badass wait to you pull up to a meet.

no need for a 4"dp when the exhaust housing is only 3".

Nice build man. The crossmember was a nice solution. Im actually starting in on my first AWD swap which will probably go astray and wind up turbo'd. Blah blah.. anyway some nice motivational videos would be cool

How do you like that PY3400? How's it drive? I'm looking at converters for my n/a awd setup. It will make around 400ftlbs to the tire on a stick car at 3200.
It's a little hilly near my house so I'm worried about going up the hills at 3500.

Cool build. I'd like to get back into the S10 game with an LS swap 2nd gen reg. cab stepside after my car is done, hah, done.

There are a couple different places making headers for 2wd S10s. I think one made some for 4wd too, philntx's blazer I beleive is the only set though.

What are you doing for headers on your AWD setup? I have a Syclone I'm planning on dropping a LS1 in but I'm not gonna go turbo. I was thinking n/a until I can afford to go with a twin screw supercharger. Much more simplistic than the turbo and should be more reliable as well as the power down low coupled with the AWD will be just plain bonkers.

My 69 FB put 400ftlbs to the tires and was useless but fun in 1st and part of 2nd on good asphalt. AWD will be so sweet in 1st gear...and easier on tires.

Front coil over conversion and DIY headers. 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 step if they fit.
I'll build the headers first and the coil overs later if possible.
I'd rather have the new motor in the truck vs the garage....
I've got a 6.0 for testing and 99 fb manifolds if I get in a hurry to get the diy rebuilt 80e trans and diy pcm tune tested before sticking a $1k converter in it.

coil over because ball joint angle is wrong with 3"+ lowered 4wd and less weight.

Twin screw is so much easier than turbo. 2nd gen needs the pcm and cool ovr flow moved and no a/c w/turbo that i've seen.

1st gens are easier to swap lsx.

I didn't want to cut up a syty.

cops ignore s10's since they are slow......

are you trying to make a point about something here and not just stating incorrect information?

bored -stuck in hotel room

long answer to question on my headers...

which one is incorrect since you wouldn't say up front?
-have you done it on a 2nd gen 4x4? Why are RPM and JSM arms different?

saying you need to go coil over because of ball joint angles. Coil overs or torsion bars..... neither will change the ball joint angles more than the other. Unless your talking about changing a-arms but you didnt mention that in your previous post.

while i have not done a 4x4 2nd gen, i have done a 2wd turbo one and spent plenty of time under a non swapped 4x4. there is only a hand full of people who have done 4x4 swaps and I have done 2. i guarantee that they would be the same difficulty.

i also hate when people hold side conversations inside build threads. Thats what PM's r for

Or they could do it in their own build thread.

dont know if the video is gonna happen tonight. But here are some pics i took of it on my iphone today at work and my parents.

You can see the air filter on the left, tranny cooler with fan in the middle, and oil filter with turbo oil feed running off it.

the gauges are wideband on the top, boost controller in the middle, and scan gauge on the bottom

and the money shot
