I am a big fan, although I have only looked at them on, not been able to drive (trans is still out)... No control box, all of the electronics are self contained in the housing. The bulbs are HEAVY, 3x the wieght of the haloges they replaced. And the bulbs are made in the USA..

you are a pretty good sales rep for digitails, how much they paying you? lol

The plan is for it to be the "storage garage" for the finished cars. I have a 4 post lift that I plan on moving into it as soon as I get my 2 post in my attached garage- actually you can see the camaro is on that lift in the headlight photos.. . The Township limits the building to a 14' mid peak hight, and with a 4/12 pitch I am already on the edge of that with the 11.5' cielings, so no bonus room/ storage.. and when the floor went in I poured 2 3'x'3 pads for a 2 post lift... just incase..

Matt, beautiful build! And shameless plug for the LS1 brackets that I sell. My email is rwhoag1969@verizon.net if anyone wants a set I still have them. Now if I can find a part number for the brake adapter fitting- did you use that fitting at the caliper? or at the hard line? I/m thinking at the hard line then connecting to the LS1 caliper hose? I still haven't gotten my conversion running after was in bodyman jail for 6 years

I'l lsee if i can dig up the part number, but I used the 67 harlines and the ls1 rubberlines with that fitting joining the two..it worked because my car is lowered, if somone was stock ride hight, you would prob need longer lines..

So My buddy jason and I took a trip to Chicago yesterday, he's getting a 4l70 built up to the same specs as my old trans for his Ls1 70 Chevelle... two 4l60/70's fit easily into the back of a volt (we didn't need to fold the seats down, but it made loading/unloading easier..

And what road trip would be complete without some snow...

Then Vince and Jason had a drag race inside the TDE shop...the old Toyota vs chevy battle

After that we headed home, with nothing but leftover deep dish and a Level IV 4l80e to show for our troubles...

If you hadn't figured it out, I decided to upgrade as long as I was getting a new trans anyway... so the beasty 80 is going in the CamEro...

Bummer, next time! Vince B on here at TDE (he is formerly of FLT) built it for me. I had him build my 4l70 and that thing was bullet proof right until the driveshaft exploded. Looking forward to great things outta this 80...

I haven't been on ls1tech in months - and I see you got a footing/septic tank install done!

Are you waiting to put up the walls in the spring?

Like the trans choice and the LED headlights.

Thanks... Yea, its gonna have to be spring time to finish the garage .. the septic ate into my budget and I didn't want to skimp on anything building it. So waiting 6 months will get me a better quality garage..
