My 67 camar0 LS1/4l60 swap thread

Trans is installed. It fit the tunnel better than the 4l70... Had to modify the crossmember mounts and trans cooler feed line. Shifter bolted right up. Trans harness had just enough length to reach the 4l80 plug. Lokar dipstick plugged right in. All things considered it was pretty painless. Aside from the driveshaft the only part left of the trans is to get a speed sensor plug and run it to the PCM for the input speed sensor.

thanks guys, pretty excited about it. The converter is supposed to be 2800-3000 stall. I make so much torque down low that it would be a waste to have any more, Chris at circle D said maggie cars love this converter, we will see. I now need to get a driveshaft, going to get an aluminum one good for 1000hp... 1350 joints too... no more DS failures for me, once was fun enough.
The wick is def going to be turned up (forged stroker is the plan).. but the new garage will be finished first.

Thanks Matt. The motor and tranny came from a 2013 Camaro SS. I mechanically deleted the VVT/AFM. The accessory brackets are from Holley (they mimic the Corvette on the drivers side). The Maggie came from a Denali, which has the same offset as the 2010+ Camaros. Everything went together pretty well. I had to build the support bracket for the snout, but it was fairly simple. I also used a Shriftersix paddle shifter setup, which integrated well with the 6L80 and VHX gauges.

Finally got all the parts in the camaro and tranned the calibration into the new segment-swapped S/W for the PCM, the car now runs and can move (roads still too salty for a test drive) under its own power, no codes set with the 4l80 so hopfully it stays that way..
