Hope to see you again on Power Tour. I am finishing up my 66 Stang. We too had some issues on last years tour and had to bail out after Memphis. Thanks again for the advice/help Good Luck

Thanks, I cannot wait to get it on tour again. Chris got my converter turned around in 3 days and its on its way back to me. In the down time I added a drain plug to the trans pan, not living through that mess again

camaro is all back together. UPS dropped of the torque converter at 5:15, backed the car off the lift by 7. (good thing, because a buddy was waiting to work on his 2000 SS that had a broken exhaust stud) Real test drive is tonight.

Beautiful car. Which Maggie kit # did you use? Any clearance mods to the subframe required to clear the oil pan. We just test fitted a 5.3 into a buddy's '69 Camaro yesterday using similar adapter plates and mounts. After some struggling, we finally got it to bolt in, but I could see that the pan was contacting the subframe at 1 point.

Pulled the Trigger on an Innovators West 8 rib setup for the Camaro. I was doing it for the performance, but these look bad ***, turns out its an appearance mod too.. I cant wait to get it all together. No belt slip for this guy.
What was
stripped
8 rib goodness (with a six rib belt) I still need to install the damper and get an 8 rib a/c compressor and mount. I am going to use the Dirty Dingo Mount, as it uses a HD tensioner design like the maggie HD setup.

Thanks Stan!
So adding the 8 rib and AC this year has caused the Magnuson HD tensioner setup to no longer fit. I had ordered the Kwik bracket to try and make it work with the maggie tensioner, but I would of just ended up re-engineering the Kwik bracket anyway. Looking online the Dirty dingo bracket appeared to come with the magnuson style HD tensioner already. I ordered it up along with the 8 rib sanden compressor and I am ready to go. One thing that bothered me is Dingo took the time to mill off the logo's and part numbers of the tensioner assembly. I did some digging and if you buy the dirty dingo a/c bracket kit, the tensioner is for an 07-2013 GT500 (8 rib blower belt one)I don't like being at the mercy of an aftermarket company if something happens on a Sunday and I need a part. It also means any of the upgraded tensioners for a GT500 are options if your belt slips with the dingo kit..
Tensioner on lower right of A/C compressor
stock gt500 tensioner on the right, look familiar?

Wow, thats customer service! Actually I had no issues the Magnuson HD tensioner or setup, I just needed an equivalent tensioner that worked with the addition of a high mount A/C compressor. The Kwik bracket used a stock camaro tensioner, and the dirty dingo uses the GT500 supercharger tensioner, so I hope it will work with the A/C and TVS2300.
