Coolant crossover pipe modification
I see many references to this problem but I haven't found any specifics about how it was handled. I'm swapping an LS1 intake onto a 5.3l from a truck. The truck coolant crossover pipe interferes with the intake. The "fix" seems to be bending the pipe. Can anyone share how they went about doing this? Tubing bender? I've played around with pry bars while it is installed and it feels like I'll kink the tubes before it moves enough to clear. Any help is appreciated.

I have Vette tubes with my Vette intake. The truck tubes are bent differently and may (not sure) interfere with the car intakes. I got my tubes from the same guy I got the intake from so I used them. I don't even remember trying the truck tubes, I just saw they were different and pulled them.

You can use the stock f-body tubes with the LS1 intake. You can also use the LS6 tubes and rear block offs with the LS1 intake........if you use the stock LS1 tubes with the LS6 intake, you will have to grind down the bottom side of the intake, where the ribs are.....
Ebay has the front tube, rear block off kit, for 40-50 bucks. I'm sure you can find them cheaper. That's what I used on my swap, and it works just fine....
