Power steering line sizes?
Power steering line sizes? What are the thread sizes for the lines for the power steering pump on a 2005 lq4.....
Also.....what size are the fittings for a factory gm steering box for an "a" body that originally had a 350 in it......
I am trying to get power steering lines made but am having trouble finding the right thread sizes.....my lq4 did not come with factory power steering lines....
Are the lq4 power steering pump line thread sizes metric....?

Here you go, this is what I used to make lines for my turbo camaro. Hopefully the same sizes for your application.
I do not know what sizes fit the a body.
2 x EAR-991955ERL (M16x1.50 o-ring to -6AN Male) - rack return, pressure side of pump
1 x EAR-991956ERL (M18x1.50 o-ring to -6AN Male) - pressure side of rack
3 x RUS-620421 (90 degree -6 hose ends) - Both rack ports, pressure side of pump hose ends
1 x RUS-620401 (Straight -6 hose end) - Hose to pump reservoir, along with
RUS-670300 (Straight -6 to hose barb) - Braided line to rubber hose, which clamps to reservoir fitting
1 x RUS-632610 (6 foot section of power steering hose)

I dont know the thread sizes but I took the end from my original box and I got a few different ends off ls and vortec motors ( most pullouts they just cut the the lines and leave the ends on the motor ) and brought the two ends that fit best and they made up the hose for me. JOHN

I would recommend swapping to a 93-97 grand Cherokee steering box. It will bolt right in and have a much better steering ratio. The original ls1 lines will work. I just completed the swap for 40 dollars which is much cheaper then making new power steering lines. Go to chevelles.com for more info on the swap.
could you send me a link to the thread....i have a profile on chevelles.....havent been on there to much since i got rid of the 383.....how does the pitman arm work with the rest of the steering parts....i cant believe it just bolts up.....
You use the chevelle pitman arm on the jeep steering box so the steering parts are the same. You do need a new rag joint. You can get a new one from Adavance part #200 (Lares) it is the same as the Dorman #31011. I grabbed a used rag joint from the pick n pull when i got the steering box to safe some money. just do a search for grand cherokee on chevelles.com There is a lot of information.
