Ls1 dodge ram!!!
Since my all motor camaro runs 10.69 with just an ls2 swap heads and cam all motor I figured the same type of motor would work good in the dodge as well. Most of the chevy 5.3 trucks run better then what my 440 has. Also wit hthe ls1 vs the 440 in weight I should come out several hundred lbs lighter.
Truck is getting a ls1 700r4 and np 208 whitch is also alot lighter then the np203 I had

For now I just lowered the ls1 into the bay, with the stock crossmember the ls1 will be far to much forward and to high for what I want it to be. I'm going to cut the crossmember out, and set the motor as far back and down as I can.

I want it to me mild, nothing like my camaro. Mainly bolt-ons, headers, already has 3.90's, ls6 manifold, ported tb and maf, dyno tune.
I'm sure the truck will see 18mpgs on the highway. I'm not going to say it should run 13's but if it does run a 13.9 I wouldn't be surprised.
My girlfriends dads new hemi dodge ram runs a 15.3 and it is a 5,000 lbs truck. He has intake, no headers, hypertech tune,, shortbed standard cab. With mine being about 4200 after the swap and bolt-ons I think it will be atleast low 14's

Even if I did a 2800 stall wit hthe ls1 mileage will be at least 5mpgs more still and it would seem to have more low end.
I tried some f-body headers and they hit the frame, so I need to look into some block huggers. I was able to get a stock 99 camaro exhaust manifold to fit with about 1/2 clearance of the frame rail, but I do not want to run manifolds.
