Default 69 camaro procharged ls7

I dropped by my motor shop and my motor is coming together. It's a procharged motor wet sump motor. I'm going to run a D1SC with the helical gear set. Mild cam so it's hopefully somewhat of a sleeper when it's idling. Wiseco pistons, K1 rods, ls7 heads with upgraded valves/springs. Fast 102 intake. Goals for boost are about 15lbs, we'll see depending on how much the motor makes on the dyno NA. Goal is 900hp hopefully a bit more. Taking a page from the ls9 and going with piston squirters. The car is a 69 camaro with a T56 from D&D. Short block is being assembled just waiting on heads. Woo hoo!!!

Just saying

Here are the piston squirters. Side note, if anybody is looking for these for an LS7 or RHS block I have an extra set.

should be awesome, you will be working that d1sc pretty hard to get 900. Are you talking motor horsepower or rear wheel?

You have identified the reasons why I buy lottery tickets; LS7, procharger, 69' camaro, and 900hp.

I've heard bad things about forced induction on ls7's.

I have too; but I've also seen big shops (was it rpm who did the f1a on the z06 that had an auto?) push tons of boost through them.. I just did some looking and it looks like the big issue with fi/n2o on ls7s is the pistons... Once those are replaced however, they get stuck on anything from a d1 (in a badass 69) to an f2 with a gear, to twin t3/t4s

safe to say this thing is gonna be a beast

Find a good tuner who is aware of the problems those blocks have with forced induction.
If the tune is safe you can make it live.

Thanks for the compliments and info guys. I'm planning on a conservative tune. I'm ok with not squeezing every last bit of power out of it. My initial goal was to break into the 10's, lol.

Car looks great! With a good tune I don't see you having any problems. Rodney at RPM Transmissions has been running a D-1SC on an internally stock LS7 in his Z06 for several years without any problems. He has converted the car to an automatic and is running in the mid 9's. Bob
