Judging by the name of the video....I'd say you got it a little out of shape. Looks like you veered toward the other lane...hope everything was OK?

I bought a sway bar this weekend an just took it to the powder coated today. I'm hoping that will help with some ofthe off the line issues. We shall see

Don't remember if you did this but air bag the back also. 5lbs left bag, 8lbs right bag...ran that in my G body Cutlass racecar (similar set-ups) and that thing hooked like a sonovabitch...you may have to play with it a little but it was a huge help. The bar is going to make a big improvement but you are still going to have the tendency to unload the driverside tire with the body roll. The bags should help that...especially with the stiffer bag on the passenger side.

Good luck and make sure you get pics and video or it never happened!!!

thanks for the input BanditDave I don't really plan to drag it ALL the time.. but if I get to doing it more often then I'll probably do like you said..

there is nothing worse then running slower on slicks then I did on 20" street tires!

The bags will help with all sorts of driving and if you need to, just air them out!

Love your car man...its my backdrop at work!

Sorry to crap up your thread with ton of questions, but where did you get your intercooler from and as far as your manifold on the passenger side, did you use something like schedule 10 stainless?

Thanks,
Dave

no prob Dave, I appreciate the interest in my build

The intercooler can be purchased with the piping, couplers and clamps for about 179 on ebay. CHEEEEEEEAAAAAAAPPPPPP .... i bought the intercooler from a company that my friend gets his parts through for 90 then I bought the pipe kit on ebay for 125. Then found out its the same intercooler that is on ebay so I could have saved myself about $40

it is a piece of mandrel bent 3" exhaust pipe I got from the big truck supply down the street. we took some old headers John had laying around and used the primaries off of that and I bought LS1 flanges.

what sway bar are you getting? theres a couple pro touring and drag sways coming out that connect to the frame and would solve your launch problem. without air bags.
http://scandc.com/new/
you can buy the pro touring hellwig from amazon for about 200 bucks. thats what im doing. stealth71 has one too.

I got it used for 50, then had it powder coated for 20 so now I have 70 total, bolts and all
from best I can tell it looks like the Belltech sway bar because of the mounting points
I just put it on tonight so the next dry day we have I'll check it out (rain like crazy right now)

its the top one in the pic.. HOLY SMOKES thats a big picture!

Hey Man...just bumping this up again and wanted to say that you have been my best source of motivation for my build...been a few times, even tonight, that I thought about just staying NA and ditching the project but like I said before, you're my backdrop on the computer and I am plowing forward!!!! Will have a lot of good pics tomorrow!!!!

Glad to hear that. Don't give up and don't get in a hurry. I promise that you will be very happy with the out come. I get frustrated at things pretty quick but I knew this is what I wanted so I just kept trucking along and I'm glad I did.
Can't wait to see pics of yours
