I wish I could have done the course but I was 15 mins late to tech in I wish I could have stayed to get on the big track but we had something else to do.

if you happen to have gotten footage of the wagon, the 36, the gold 54 chevy truck, the black 63 galaxie or the white 65 ford truck could you email it to me so I can pass it along to those guys ( ChrisWmos@aol.com)

the car is still up and running and doing good.

Dad drove it this weekend and he liked it a lot!

I had the AC lines made today and just finished putting all the AC stuff on the car.
Tomorrow we are going to put the new 3rd member in John's car and then Wednesday we are going to charge the AC in the GTO

Then Thursday we are off to Austin for the Lone Star Round up

Dad and I took a little road trip this weekend and put about 450 miles on it and everything was great and got good gas mileage too

I know how that feels.....

I had that happen with my Chevelle at 5600rpm on the dyno. It broke/tore everything from the TH400 back to the mufflers, along with cracking the alt. case. I feel for ya...

Wow, I'd have a talk with the driveshaft builder if the shaft was supposed to be rated higher than what the the car's hp was.

It's back together and we did about a 30 mile drive and seems normal Tomorrow the exhaust will be fixed and then it will be easier to tell. Right now it's a 4" down pipe that's wide open and loud as hell

Consider your self lucky. I lost my brand new stock 3 in dia drive shaft at 135 mph. It twisted in half. I guess I'm lucky it only dented the floor pan and destroyed my pinon gear and exhaust pipes could have been much worse. I had a 4 in dia heavy wall shaft built.

Yelp......

Your playing with power now bebe...... that kind of power tears **** up and quick...........

how much were you boosting? I would also invest in some forge yolks and driveshaft loop if you have not already purchased them.......

This is the type of ****, when it happens you be holy **** ......... And don't tell the wife, you just pull it in slowly and go straight to bed until the morning.....

Drive shaft loop will be required at the drag strip and would have helped a bit.

Definitely a wise investment.

Yep, twisted my stocker into a pretzel with my mildly built 355. Had a better driveshaft built and hoop installed the next week. Got lucky and it only beat up the floor pan a little and put a small dent in the gas tank but didn't puncture it. But it was definitely a ride when it let go! haha
