LQ4/T56 into my 69 Camaro

It was prolly me that mentioned it. I went to Lowes and went to the roofing section. It is a roll that is like 6 or 8 inches wide and has an asphalt type backing. It is easy to manuever around and works like a champ. I did the entire interior with it. I even run a strip on the inside of the door skins to take away the hollow sound. My doors are rock solid since I did this. It is reasonably priced. I think I ended up using like 3 or 4 rolls.
Just finished this entire build (took about a week haha) and had to go back and ask this question.
Thanks,
Sam

I have never noticed any type of asphalt smell. The only time I would think that would become an issue is if the exhaust was run to close to the floor pan. Now that you have mentioned it, I will probably start to smell asphalt, lol. So far so good on the roofing material.

Tony, I just went back through your thread because I remember you had trouble bleeding the. Well I am having the same issue. Unfortunately, when I set up my clutch linkage, I made sure that the rod was all the way back with pedal fully raised. Just to make sure, I removed the bumper and verified that the pedal is coming all the way back but I can't seem to get the air out. I am trying to gravity bleed it as we speak, but I may have to use your trick of bench bleeding the master with the reservior and line attached.

Yes I have a bleeder hose and I have the end mounted on the firewall right at the level of the reservoir. Gravity bleeding might work if I give it a month. I like your idea of forcing it back the other way, but I would need a to acquire a squirt gun. Do you have any details on that?

I think Tony is busy. He hasn't been here since 2014

hello,
I have a 1971 240z which im planning to put a LQ4 and T56 combo. At the moment im going to order the clutch kit and I should be able to mate the transmission and the engine. And my next step is to buy the intake set-up, I was wondering if your LS3 intake combo will clear truck accessories. I'm trying to keep truck accessories to reduce cost of the swap.
Thanks for your input.
