guys,i need some advice,im routing my tranny cooler lines and need your opinion.the way i have them routed here, you think it will be too close to the header?i know heat is the enemy with these automatic trans.my other option is to go around the wheel wheel well.whats your thoughts??

I would say do it like it came from the factory. Run them along the oil pan rail and turn them out towards the frame rail right after the engine stands and then up to the radiator. You could use P clamps and use the oil pan bolts to tie them in. You might want to put the header on first just to get an idea of exactly where your hot spot will be for sure. That side is easy to attach the header.

Ok,see I have never seen how factory was ran!so it runs up the trans and along side the oil pan till after engine mounts, then goes over to frame rail then to radiator??

I believe that to be true. I went to oldmusclecars.com and saved you a copy of the original layout for the cooler lines. It is attached in this message, hopefully.

I ran the stock cooler lines up just past the starter and then cut them off and hooked up hose so i could bend them where i wanted them to go. i ended up having both the feed and teh return hoses going through my solid motor mount and then along the frame rail

since I have the turbo log I also put some heat/flame resistant hose covering on the hose
