well i routed the trans lines similar to what the stock car has,take a look.tell me what ya think.

anyone know what line connects here on the rear of the driverside valve cover?where it goes to??

The PCV goes there. You are missing the rubber grommet. And as far as where it goes, I would say a catch can and then onto the throttle body. Look around on LS1Tech for some threads on this subject and a catch can will prolly be the route you will want to go. Poor baffling in the valve covers allow oil to be pulled into the throttle body, intake, cylinder heads and eventually into the combustion chamber. The oil that gets into the combustion chamber builds up on the piston and ends up causing the rings to stick which in turn burns more oil. Catch can is the best preventitive, get a sealed unit with internal baffling and a drain.

Looks like you got the transmission lines out of the way! When my car was an automatic I didnt want to spend the money for new factory lines so I ended up bending some out of 3/8" hard line and man the hose you used would have been so much easier and probably better. Looking good!!! I guess I need to get busy as you are fixin to pass me on the build progress. I did get my drive shaft in yesterday.

I would say no. Sorry I wasnt paying attention. Some people still want to run a catch can even with the LS6 valley cover. I think the baffling is a lot better in the LS6 cover and its in a better location to pull just pressure and not oil.

Do you have to run a PCV valve with the LS6 valley cover? If so where will it plumb into? Every engine I have owned had a PCV valve.

I thought PVC valve was in that ls6 valley cover??so do I hook that hole in driver side valve cover over to hose barb on passenger valve cover??

That's too bad, I was hoping someone was selling it already cut and put together. I hate putting the ends on that stuff. I know there's a tool but I'm too cheap to buy one for something I do so rarely. Thanks and keep up the great build.

There is no PCV in the valley cover just baffling. I have looked around and thats all I can find out anyways. You will need to route the passenger side valve cover breather tube to the inlet on the top of the throttle body before the throttle blade. The drivers side valve cover will need a positive crankcase ventilation valve put in via rubber grommet. Route the PCV valve around the back of the intake and forward up the right side of the intake, run this line either into the vacuum port behind the throttle body on the right hand side or you can buy a catch can and route it there and then from the outlet of the catch can back to the intake vacuum port behind the throttle body. I tried to find this article on here about this but I cannot seem to locate it. If I do I will send it your way.

I still have my old ls6 pcv setup, including the valve - its part of a u shaped tube that exits the crank case cover and enters the intake.

FWIW I had it on my ls1 for like 30k, and still went to a catch can setup, and still think i ran into oil consumption issues.

Going with a bigger can setup on my ls2

I have mine hooked up like it was from the factory just until I get it running. After that I will get a catch can as well.

Okay, I'm having a good, hard look at your radiator. I put a call in to the number on their website and left a message.
Did you find out for sure if it is a dual pass?
They say heavy duty trans cooler. Do you think it's enough for a 4L80e maybe with a converter?
It looks like from the picture it has the steam tube inlet near the top. Is this the case?
