Default LQ4 injectors w/ .600 lift

Will stock lq4 injectors feed a TR cam w/ 600 lift and 230/236 duration? This is also w/4l80e and a yank 3200 stall convertor. If not, will 8.1 injectors be better? Thanks.

Hopefully someone else will chime in, but when I did my homework, it seemed that guys were maxing out the stock 6.0 lifters with tunes, headers, exhaust and other miscelaneous bolt-ons.

I went with the 8.1 marine injectors to leave a little room for growth.

I used 30lb SVO's on my LQ9 and my cam is smaller than that.

The stock injectors are at 90% duty cycle on a stock engine. I would definitely upgrade.

I was mistaken, the 8.1 injectors are 46lb/hr not 42's. Here's where I got it from, http://www.vetteweb.com/features/vem...ine_build.html

"Ultimately (and obviously), everything came together. The C5's ECM (computer) and the Vortec 8100 V-8 are compatible-once the right injectors were determined. The 8.1 comes with 46 lb/hr gushers while an LS1 has 26 pounders. It ran way too rich on the 8.1L's nozzles, and after much trial and error, Hofer found the LS1 injectors are not only completely adequate for the mega motor but it also runs perfectly on them".

I think they may have made a mistake in the article, truck 8.1 injectors are around 30lb, 8.1 marine injectors are 42-44.

From the calculator, if I did it right, I should need a 31.5# injector... What, and where would you all recomend? What is SVO's? Would the 8.1 injectors be too big? Help?

If you are using stock truck fuel rail, intake and wiring harness, IMO, your best bet is to send your injectors off, and have them re-worked to about a 40lb injector (or whatever you decide to use). The only other direct-fit option I am aware of is the 8.1 marine injectors. The good thing about having your stockers re-worked is that you'll have all the data that goes along with them, and the cost is about the same, or maybe less than buying 8 new injectors.

I forget who offers this service, but they are a sponsor here (I think...) maybe fuelinjectorconnection.com or something like that.

Are the flex fuel injectors higher-lb than regular ones?

Is there a rule of thumb as to a range to stay in for certain hp ratings? Say I need a 31# would a 45# be too much? Do you need to stay say around 10% above? Is more better? I would think it would tend to run rich?

If you go too big it won't be as good of a spray pattern at minimum pulse widths. However, a 42lb injector isn't very hard to tune and you would have room to grow.
