08 ly6 in a 2000 Sonoma
Havent driven it yet with the new suspension since it still has winter storage insurance on it. Have to put the new mufflers on and cutouts then Ill put insurance back on it and drive it. Drove it year around in Nasty Northeastern Ohio winters from '03-'10 so thats what I blame the rust on. Tires are front, 245/50r16, rear 255/50r16.
"The base price of this shaft is $550.00 complete with slip yoke, solid joints and carrier brg. We would use 3" .083 DOM tubing and 1.9/16 spline at the carrier bearing. If you are leaving the line over 4000 RPM we would recommend a Forged Trans slip Yoke which is a $50.00 upgrade. We also offer a Solid rubber carrier with a Vulcanized bearing, that is also a $50.00 upgrade, some guys just like that idea it is not necessary."
Im thinking of going with the forged trans yoke for insurance but skip on the solid carrier bearing. I just dont think its neccassary if the balance is right.
Also I told him Im pushing 700hp at the crank since I have nitrous with the possiblity of moving over to boost in the future so a little extra safety factor never hurt.
