Default Foxbody mustang...which auto transmission

In the planning stages of an LS conversion into a 90's mustang coupe. I'd like to go with an LS2/3 and auto transmission. Most conversions I've found searching are using a 6 speed manual transmission. Which auto transmission will work/fit?

Thanks

How much power you plan on making, and how often you plan on driving the car?

TH350 would probably work..or a TH400/4L80E to handle alot of power.

I have a Th400 that I'll be installing within the next month. AJE makes a trans mount for PG's, Th350 and Th400 for a fox.

People have also installed 4l60's as well but I have yet to see a 4l80

I've seen a 4l80 in a fox. I'll get on a local site and post pics when I get home.

Thanks for the responses guys. I definitely want an od transmission. I want the car to be able to cruise anywhere like OEM and get good gas mileage. Probably start the car off around 400 rwhp N/A, and knowing me, add a turbo or blower later (600+rwhp)

I have a 4l60e in my 88 lx fox making just under 600rwhp. Fits great. Soon i'll be swapping in a 4l80e to hold the power and be more reliable. I know 4l80e s fit just fine.

Did you get it to work? Any pics of the trans in the tunnel? What crossmember did you use?
Thinking of going 6l80e as well, any input would be great.
