Default 71 nova ls1 t56 cam only

01 ls1 motor
Ms4 cam
Ls6 intake
Ported T/B

Update:
Terminator 2 th400
Redneck 4200 stall
Magna grip shifter

9 inch strange center section
4.30 gears
35 spline strange axels
Chasis works ladder bar

Fuel system is basic went with a walboro inline and a corvette fpr and a 15 gallon fuel cell that I don't plan on running under a quarter tank anyways

For the swap parts I used transdapt motor mount plates, dynatech swap headers, and made a custom trans crossmember, spoolin performace alternator relocation bracket, PCM and harness from a 98 camaro. I did the wiring myself thanks to ls1tech lol PCM was pre tuned by nick at newtech performance for a reasonable price

The car isn't on the streets yet I'm still working out some kinks in the clutch system but it runs and sounds amazing with the ms4 in it

Anyone have any advice on how I should go about matting my ls1 to the th400? What worked best for you?

the th400 bolts straight to the ls1.

the only problem is the converter snout will be .400 too short so you need to buy an adapter , depending on if you have a straigh flexplate or a curved flexplate will depend on which adapter you get. you will also have to oval out the flexplate bolt holes to line up with the th400.

or you can get a real performance shop to weld a .400 ring to your converter. I think jerry bickel sells the snout extenders, but im not sure.

my converter cam with the ring welded on and the just put three welds on the inside of the ring. if you attempt to do it yourself , you have to make sure it is true or it could cause problems

Thanks for the info I will look into it.. I'm thinking of running a spacer that's why I wanted to get some more info on how it has held up on others setups, the last thing I need is a catastrophic failure!!! :/

Never got it to the track, I was running a t56 but the spec 5 clutch failed on me! I didn't even know at the time. Bands on the pressure plate busted! So now I'm going with a th400 have yet to drive it but I'll be sure to post a video and some feedback!
