Basically your pink wires need 12v..coming from a fused circuit somewhere. I've been getting them to convert over without having to add any extra circuits.

Got it figured out. Boy do I feel dumb! Only had to move one wire from C101 to C100... Oh well, now it starts!

Now I have another small issue. The tach does not work at all. The wire that I pulled from the LS harness to signal the tach under the dash was from C105 G. Apparently not correct. Where should I have taken that from?

I don't know either. Is there another wire you have in mind that I could try?

Almost positive I put it in C230 D which would be the right one, but I'll have to double check I guess.

Because of the angle that the steering shaft comes in at. LT1 is almost straight into the rack, LS1 is at about a 45* angle. If you were to try and use yours it'll hit the pan.

In actuality, the racks are very similar. I had both racks laying side by side for comparison. There cant be more than a 10-15 degree difference between the two. I had a bit of trouble with the LS1 rack initially, so I contemplated throwing the lt1 rack back in. If you are running truck manifolds, as I am, you may be able to squeeze them. But I cant guarantee this. The linkage will be very close to your manifold. The main advantage of the LS1 rack comes from the hard/fixed linkage as opposed to the jointed piece.

I have a picture in my link on the first post of this thread. LS1 Rack & Linkage clears Headers alot better.

Now I need to figure out why I am not getting fuel on the passenger side. I pulled all of the plugs and the passenger side looks brand new still. Checking over all of my wires and not finding what I did wrong. Anyone have any help to give there? Been looking at this and diagrams for hours. Now what did I do wrong? lol

Edit: disregard... I am retarded once again

anyone regret this swap?

I'm fairly noobish to LS scene but have the urge to swap. Every time something on my LT1 goes wrong I just think "if I had a ls1". I have wanted a 5.3 for years. Am I crazy?

Finally about to give up my LT1... Giving me way too many problems and I'm ready to go ls... Is going with a 5.3 worth it or should I wait and try to find a lq for a reasonable price? I know the lq works best with ls3 or 243 heads, but what about the 5.3? Other than intakes, what ls parts are actually interchangeable on the 5.3?
