Tsnow is correct! I got the idea from BMF5150's build. Look thru his and T's build threads and you will gain tons of info!! Those guys definitely paved some roads for the rest of us!
I too got the package from Travis. I am coming up on one year (yes, these things take time when you have someone doing it for you) since I bought from Trav... hoping all will be well when we fire this puppy up!!

Gotta say nice car, its really sharp looking! I wish I would have went your route and found a car that already had the body and paint work done.
Anyways looks like your doing a great job on the swap, hope you get it up and running soon.

No pics as this was just the initial test fit of the engine/trans. I will be using the standard GM dipstick tube and indicator. I ordered mine from GM and the tube does not come painted. I have used Lokar in the past, but their stuff is $$$ given the quality of the piece and the filler tube is extremely small in diameter making it a pita to add fluid.
Hey Rocket so far nice install .....what did you use for p/s hoses from the LS pump to the old steering box Thanks Rob

I have same headers/mounts. Dont think that one tube should be so close to the ps lines. I am thinking to take a late model hose that has a 90 degree turn at the box, cut the line and flare it past the 90 for the AN fitting. That will eliminate the adapter at the box and get the bulk of the fitting away from the header.

Okay after a very long break, work is about to begin on finishing the LS swap. I have been ordering a ton of parts and I pulled the motor back out of the car to to do some electrical work and other miscellaneous items. More details and pics coming soon!

Rocketrod what angle is the engine sitting at in the car? Looking at the one picture of the header it appears the engine is tilted back quite a ways. 3-5 degrees negative is what was recommended to me when I was aligning everything. The reason I am asking is this, if the engine can be flattened out some it may help with the clearance issue at the PS box. Or you could buy a manual box and have no clearance issues at all.
The car is coming together great! Awesome work, keep us posted and pics are worth a thousand words.

I do need to measure the angle, but from looking at it the issue is with the NPT to -6AN adapter coming out of the gearbox. This raises the connection and cause the clearance issues. I will stop by the parts store today to see if they sell a 90 degree NPT to -6An hose end to eliminate the adapter. I'll post pics.
I have a new Lee 670 gearbox so I need to make this work and a manual gearbox with 235s up front doesn't sound like a lot of fun....
