Just got my 1772 miles 79 malibu ALL original time capsule
Purchased from original 82 yr old owner. Has been stored inside a block building with no windows all it life. Car has never seen rain. Still has gm paper over carpet from pre-delivery. Car has 1772 miles on it. Had plans to put it under knife but I am having 2nd thoughts. Probably the one of the lowest mileage one's left in country.
Here is a walk around video of car

Damn - I'd have a hard time cutting that one up - And it's a stick too. How on earth did you come across that for sale?
Beautiful car and the colors are good also - Usually they are baby$hi+ brown with the same interior - That is a keeper for sure.
Always wanted one of the 78-81 Bu's - Great looking body style.

Malibu
I bought this one this spring with 4600 miles and thought it was clean. It now has built GN drive train makes just over 600 to tires.
So i really didnt cut the gold one up,but it wasnt like the red car either. The red car is basically a new 79 malibu.

That car is really nice, I would have to take a long look at my abilities before I cut a car like that up. That being said you know what they say start with the cleanest example you can afford I think you found the cleanest one you can find plus its only a 6cyl to start with

There is really no cutting involved tho..a LS will drop straight in with zero modifications needed to the chassis. That is a non-AC car so that's even easier.
He is already a factory Manual so that helps if a T56 is wanting to be used, it would require the kit to make the shifter come out where it currently is.

Nice find!
Hacking up F-bodies is the game. What's this "kit" word you use?

I'd say, north of $10g, maybe more at a Barrett-Jackson or Mecum auction. Put it on E-Bay with an obscene reserve just to see what it bids to...

im all about saving historic cars, but.......v6, 3 spd manuel, no ac, non- performance model. Id take advantage of not having to do major resto and turn it into a super clean, low buck monster. thats just my 2 pennies. super find !

I keep looking over those pictures and am having 2nd thoughts about my suggestion. I haven't seen one anywhere near that clean since I was a kid, not sure what I'd do. I guess if it were mine and somebody offered me 10K+ it would be an easy decision, but its not mine. Anyway, does that car have any options at all? V6, 3 speed, bench seat, radio delete, ...... does it even have a tilt column?
