Default I need an answer quick please... Cruise control module:

How does the module operate the throttle body? I want to put cruise on a car that is getting an LS1 put into it but need to know how it works. Thanks.

The cruise module looks like it has a throtttle cable on it. Does it attach to the gas pedal and pull the gas pedal down, thus giving more throttle to engine? Or does it attach directly to the TB? If so, then what is the gas pedal connected to - this module?

I have a nice Lokar throttle cable for my car but am wondering if I'm still going to be able to use it if I want to put cruise control on the car.

I really don't know, but I have seen the cable from the cruise box goes right to the throttle body. There are two holes to mount two cables on the throttle cable bracket near the throttle body on my 2001 Chevy Silverado. I can take a closer look next time I am under my hood. My LS1 in my 67 camaro has the two mounting holes as well.

The gas pedal directly connects to the tb and the cruise module connects to the tb. There are two mounts on the tb, the inside mount is for the gas pedal the outer one is for the cruise control.

Unless you have TCS.. if so then the throttle cable goes to the TCS unit and then to the TB..

Now it's making sense. That's what the nub is for on the TB cam. Both cars I was looking at had traction control. Looks like I can do it afterall.

C'mon man... hey I had that luxurious SS for so long that now I'm spoiled and don't want to give up my cooshy amenities. It's not too late to add heated seats, is it?
