68BB, I see your using the trk alt. brkt.. I sure hope you've checked the hood clearence with the Alt. installed..... I had to go to the 105amp alt. instead of the 145amp one to get mine to clear in my 71 with the domed hood. In my 66 with the 2" cowl hood it (105AMP) won't clear w/o cutting hole in the under side panel...
JUST FYI......

New is prettier.... Mine looks quite old. I have an extra alt/ps bracket I'm gonna take to my friends house and sandblast and paint. then new alt I think, just for shiney sake.

Hopefully I have better luck but it seems unlikely.
I have read through the build before and you are defiantly doing a better job on the details than I did. Looking good.
Did you vent your fuel tank? I had to drop mine and reseal the tanksinc set up after it built up enough pressure to mess up the seal.

I had to replace mine yesterday during lunch and only option to get the chevelle back on the road was autozone.

I tried to make it look clean as possiable but hurry up and get it done too.
For the fuel tank I hooked my sending unit back up to the oem steel line and left it open for a vent and hoping it will vent out my cap too. I havent had it running long enough to see if its going to work, I hope it works cuz i coated the seal with super high tack sealant and then went around the outer edge. with it.

You have to watch using the oem line, as the fuel expands it will push out the line, under the hood if the tank is full enough, might even make a siphon. I put a rubber vaccuum plug over my oem tank line and just use the vented gas cap. Haven't had a problem yet. I found out about the the cap when I converted the BBC to elec pump. My cap was smashed on the inside and I didn't know it and as the tank emptied it caused a vaccuum in the tank that the pump couldn't push through. needless to say the acted like it ran out of gas, till I popped the cap and primped the pump, than it ran.

Good deal on the hood fitting. Sounds like the cars coming along real good. I would like to hear how the Tanksinc pump does with low fuel and cornering.... That was my problem with the Spectre tank, below 1/2 tank and a right hand corner and it would die...If you get a chance, try it, and lets us/me know. Im have one to put in my 66's tank, soon hopefully.....
