my car doesnt squat when it launches. it plants and separates slightly. i will tell you i had to beat the **** out of the entire inner fender several times to get the clearance i needed for the PROs.

thats exactly how it should happen if your suspension is working good. The body is lifting as its pushing down on the tires. Stick shifts usually will plant at first from the initial hit.

appearing to squat and actually squatting are two different things. look at my rear tire fender gap in this pic

theres space thre because its planting the tires into the pavement even though it appears to be squatting.

So the whole soft springs/shock settings to promote weight transfer and squat are incorrect? These are honest questions, I am still trying to figure this whole drag suspension thing out.

408 has been in for about 2 weeks now. started it the first day and it didnt want to idle. started it that same night and kept my foot on the gas for 30 sec and then it idled. broke the motor in with 10-30 let it heat cycle then changed the oil. put about 50 miles on it and i changed the oil again to 20-50. im getting about 30-35 psi oil pressure at idle. had some overheating issues. was running around 230*-240* no matter what i did. i pulled the water pump and blocked the bypass and modded the 160* t-stat. did jack ****. pulled my bumper and put a 1.5" gap between my intercooler and radiator to promote airflow. did jack ****. fabbed an aluminum air dam to get air to the bottom of the radiator. now were getting somewhere. dropped temps 10-15 degrees at speed but it still would go up at low speed or idle. listened to some friends and put a bigger radiator in it (25%+) and burped the system for a good 30 min. ran really good but i noticed my fan wasnt blowing really hard when it kicked on. started looking around and found my power wire had come loose at my weatherpak and fixed it. ******* voila! temps stay under 190*now. gonna drive it later today and see what kind of temp she will run during the 100* days.

I would be happy with that! Now to get it to the track. I am about to head over here in a couple hours to help finish getting mine prepped for paint. Than off to the track next weekend. Going to skip the dyno.

Damn John,
I've never seen this thread until now. Last time we spoke you were considering swapping out the 5.3 and looking at forged/stroked ****. Glad to see it worked out for you!
I also ended up with a 408 for my car. It's still on the stand, no surprise....
