Might check the classifieds I saw a smoothed truck intake in there for 100-150 cant remember. I wouldn't do it again for that amount its a lot of work to get to a finished product!!!

Sorry to chime in so late but for bonding the Nylon 6/6 look into the Loctite or Plexus adhesives. You'll need to check the charts but there are adhesives that will hold to the point that the nylon will tear apart before the bond fails. At work we use adhesives on numerous plastics bonded to various metals with excellent results.
For bonding nylon (AKA polyamide) to nylon look here on page 34. http://www.exdron.com/Specs/Loctite%20Plastics.pdf
For bonding it to metal you'll need to do a bit more research but the materials are out there.

They shouldn't be bondo or fiberglassed, should be plastic welded with the same material.
I would only use a shaved intake or a mild NA motor, certainly nothing on a lot of spray or boost.
