Yeah I looked at that, but I would have to go all the way across the engine bay and back. Passenger fender also has the fuel regulator, oil scavenge pump and muffler. Not a good choice. Ideally I will eventually get a custom A2W intercooler made with end tanks pointing how I want them, but this will have to do for now.

Not much of an update. I have been working towards cleaning up the wiring and such, but can not spend much due to going through a refinance. We have to keep our checking balance up during the process so hopefully will get it driving by the end of the month beginning of next month some time. But I did get the additional wires run to the pcm for the 4L80E front sensor and got the shifter linkage all hooked up, intercooler lower bracket made and the stereo wires run and pulled. Just realized I am closing in on a year since I started this thread and more than that since I started collecting parts for the build...time to get this done! updated video of it running with IAT on there and everything hooked up! Just click the image below to start the video.

Cool build! Congrats on getting it up and idling.
If you're not running the HVAC junk behind the dash, have you thought about flipping the top of your intake around the other way and putting your IC in the huge space left behind from where the blower and housing used to be? All of those bends are going to kill efficiency. Not to mention those silicone elbows will bulge at any substantial level of boost.

It is kind of a temp solution. I am planning to run all the hvac stuff and potentially even put AC n the car eventually. I wanted this car to be able to do some street miles as well as track. But I am about to get a chevy 2500hd crew cab, so if I can find the budget for a trailer this vehicle may become much more of a race car.
I do realize the couplers will swell some, but realistically there are probably only about as many couplers as your average front mount set up. For now it will be fine til I redo the front end and radiator core support area. I honestly just didn't feel like dealing with it til I got the car up and running and the chassis proven. For now I will be running under 20 psi even on e85 until I work out all the little bugs that I am sure will be there.

Well it has been a minute since I updated this. The project is still going, but I had to take a little financial time out to buy my father's truck from him. $5000 for a 2003 Chevrolet 2500 HD Crew Cab Turbo Diesel with the Allison transmission was just too good to pass up. I figure it will make an awesome pull vehicle when Elli is all done! (Ellie since it has a LS motor in it...bet you thought it was an Elinore reference huh?)
I did manage to get rear brakes on it and connect said brakes using all AN lines for ease of replacement.
At this point I am just waiting on some funds to come in. Our great new tax law here in GA made it where any vehicle no matter the condition gets assessed at an "average retail, average miles" value and taxed accordingly. So my $5000 truck got assessed at $12,000 and taxed as such. Kinda BS, but there went my driveshaft money! So gotta recoup some funds. In the mean time I have plenty to do to get it ready.
Also noticed I got a little leak from the water pump area. This is pretty frustrating as it is a brand new gasket and brand new water pump. Grrrr.

Well, no pictures yet, but the car is at a local shop getting the driveshaft made as I type! Should not be long. My scavenge pump stopped working for some reason, so gotta go through and diagnose that. But I hope to have it driving on the next couple seeks.

Will not be tonight, as the shop closed before I got off work. But hopefully tomorrow. I was worried about aluminum. Too many folks twisting them around the hp level (800+) that I plan to shoot for. Even when I talked to the guys at Mark Williams, they steered me away from aluminum. They said either their steel or chromoly would be the only way to go unless you wanted to drop some serious cash for some of the more exotic ones.
