Here is a picture of the Detroit Speed windshield wiper motor installed. Everything went quite well with no problems. Worked the very first time.

Took the car out to the Fontana Raceway to see what she will do in the 1/4 mile. I only made one pass as the lines were long and the air density was going South. They kept having break downs. I did not want to sit in line for over two hours.

I still have to work on my 60'. I kept the 1 5/16" front sway bar on the car along with the factory style shocks. I did change out the tires with Hoosiers on the back. Waiting on the Vararam VR-X intake manifold. Here is the time ticket with me as car #3000.

That would sure help. I am very close to the mph that I am looking for, it is the times I need to improve on. I love being able to drive home from the track, turn the air conditioning on and relax in my fully adjustable 2004 GTO seats.

The car is very stable and drives 75-80mph going down the freeway with out any problems whatsoever. No vibrations, no nothing. Just cruises right along.

Yeah, but what are the regular tires rated for? 120-130 MPH?

Just saying. lol

The regular tires on my car have a "Z" rating which I believe is 149 mph. At the track I am only looking for the car to run in the 120-123mph range and I am virtually there. I would love to get a 10.99 time ticket though and that might be the tricky part.

Not since I put in the 2004 GTO seats, the Helmholtz J-pipes and a couple of other things. Probably up another 80- 100 pounds added. I weigh 250 fully clothed so I would estimate my race weight at 3900lbs.

The gas tank was also pretty full. I was not planning on running at the track but just go out and watch some friends. I had filled up the tank earlier in the week. The car just felt good and I said what the heck I will take it out there and make at least one pass for a base line.

I finally found the brake master cylinder I have been looking for. I have seen pictures of it on other builds and really liked it. It is AC Delco 18M974. I believe it comes on say a 1999 Chevrolet S10 for example. It has the correct fittings and is much smaller and lighter than the one I have.

It also has a 1" bore for more line pressure versus the 1 1/8" one currently in the car. Here is a picture of the new one.

We got the new master cylinder installed. The old one must weigh between 10 and 15 pounds. This one is less than 2 and takes up much less room and looks a lot better than the rusty looking old one. Compare to the above picture. I decided up make up new lines rather than rebend the old lines. Here is the picture.

Are you running drums or disc on the rear? I like the size of that.

Noticing on your fuel rail that you have the old style quick disconnect with the plastic retainer, those have been known to come loose causing a massive fuel spill followed by a car inferno. Many threads on loose fittings and fires, there is a new revised version that has a screw in retainer.

Nice time slip. I was at a 1/8 mile track wensday night in St Pete. A little hot and humid. about 80*. With no prep I ripped off a 1.718 60ft with 555R's on the back.
Cold air for me on the way back too. lol. Just put a new a/c everything in last week. I got 33* pumping out the vents. Lovinit !

Not bad at all on those tires. I need to practice more on the launch and do a better burnout.

Ok, after further review I will switch to the Russell 644120 fitting. Also at the fuel filter I need to do the same thing. I am running the Wix 33737 fuel filter that uses the same fittings but with the return line 5/16" versus 3/8" for the other two. The 5/16" part number is 644110. Thank you for the heads up.

A little update on the fuel fittings. I have replaced the one in the engine compartment and will replace the ones at the fuel filter/regulator. I decided to just go ahead and replace the regulator while I was at it. A couple of pictures.
