i went to ace hardware and bought a ribbed hose connector with a small flat area between the "hose barbs" and drilled it to accept a 1/8" npt hose fitting. you can see it on ' Project high school ' page 3 one of the last posts. spent a total of about $5.00

I made mine because the radiator I had used a different size fittings than my water pump and I needed to adapt the hoses anyway. I welded a fitting to the tubing I used to mate the two upper hoses. I used a bit of exhaust tubing from the parts store in the proper size and hose clamps. The plastic hose adapters from the parts stores work too. I'm not sure about the stuff from the hardware store being able to handle the heat for extended periods of time.

I bought a radiator hose temp sensor adaptor from ebay and installed a barbed fitting in it.

I drilled and tapped a small hole into the upper rear of the water pump then screwed in a nipple for vent hose.

X2

Another option is the griffin LS swap radiators. They have a small port on one end tank that you can run a hose to. It is on my winter list to get one to clean up my engine bay.

Some hoses have them already. Early 2000s Durango upper hoses have a plastic piece with a steam tube. I'm sure there are others, but that's one that I've seen in person. You may be able to use something like that depending on your setup.

I personally run a surge tank with a steam barb already on it. Came from a SAAB, but most of the GM ones should work. 90s Saturn tanks are pretty compact.
