Yes. All of the gauges work except the tachometer. Running the truck as a daily driver, and having the automatic trans, I really don't need it. I think an Autometer tach converter would pull the signal from the coil packs as in their write-up http://www.autometer.com/techinfo_ne...=1&pg=1&aid=10.
This signal could be inserted into the Dodge ECU where the tachometer signal comes from the original coil? I have not looked into it yet, but I believe it is possible.

Which transmission are you planning?
If you look close at the drivers side motor mount, you can see we had to make a new notch, outward from the original. After this fitting, we deepened both sides to lower the motor about 3/4 inch. This allowed the truck manifold to clear, and allowed a little bit better driveshaft angle.

Some people are running the LS engine as a standalone 3 or 4 wire system, but I think for a few bucks more, this makes the truck function nicely.

I think that any dakota with the magnum v6 or v8 engine will have motor mounts that will adapt to the LS block using the adapter plates. As far as I know, all of the magnum engines were the same. I think the LA block has a different pattern, but I am not sure.

It would be nice to dump the 3.9 in mine for a 5.3. Maybe put in a Colorado MA5 instead of a 4L60E.
It would be nice to get it all done for under $2013 too, for the GRM Challenge deal.

I just spent a day last week at LKQ looking at 4wd dakotas, durangos and Rams to see if the adapter plates would work on these. I think that using the stock motor mounts and perches should allow it to work in almost every application.
It will also work in grand cherokees that had the magnum engine as well.
I still need someone to plasma or water-jet the adapters for me. I can't guarantee volume at the moment, so they aren't interested.
