The old Retrorod is still around!!!!
I currently am in day 6 of my total knee replacement surgery recovery which will last a total of 6-8 weeks. This sort of thing isn't very easy as you get over 66 years old but because of my extended recovery I will have the chance to go over a lot of threads and look at a lot of information. I have a plan for the "continuing improvement" of my sedan.
Soo.....my LS1 friends, I have reading to do, keep posting
New project in the works, switching from the LS6 intake to a carb type Victor Jr with the stock throttle body mounted vertically with stock injectors and a nice new Comp cams bump-stick for a little more "urge".
Good luck with the knee!

I'm going with a Comp Cam X275. It has about 222 and 224 lift @ .050" and a pretty decent idle but it really wakes up a stock engine. It needs good springs to go with the added lift. It should look cool topped with a nostalgia Caddy/Olds air cleaner. I'll keep progress posted so you can see how it works.
Once again....great to hear from you Pat!!!

As for the cam change, I am wondering if it will shift the power curve upwards a bit? I think that would help me as traction is my major limitation, if I could take a little power out of the bottom end and move it upwards I think it would improve my 1/4 mile performance. Any idea how that cam will impact economy or drivability?
This conversion is going to remove the MAF and will be programmed "speed density". The guy at A and A Corvette (where my son works) is a really good programmer so I trust he will get the most out of this conversion. We plan on getting a few baseline dyno pulls at A and A so we'll know how this whole thing works. I'll post a before & after.
