Default Need pictures of truck A/C Compressor LINES...

Trying to figure out which A/C lines I need to buy. I have a 4.8 turbo swap in my 1987 Grand National with truck accessories.

Hoping to get pics of the lines coming of the compressor and year/make they are from.

I'm trying to find which ones come STRAIGHT off of the compressor to use on my swap so it clears the frame. Thanks!

Not sure what compressor you have? My is from a late model escalade. I bought adapters from ebay for the truck compressor. Denso 10S20F. Those adapters are straight and you can buy straight fittings.
They were $55 shipped. Don't let vintage air tell you this is a variable displacement compressor. F stands for fixed and is compatible.
I bought fittings from nostalgic air and -10 and -8 barrier hose from them too and made my own hoses.
They sell straight 45 and 90 degree fittings as well as ones with charging / gauge ports.

Hose is $2.50 per foot and ends are about $10 ea. ferrule compressor tool was $150 from amazon by mastercool. Worked great!

Install a new drier too. I added their trinary switch for another $25 or so and use this as a safety for compressor and to trigger the fan.

Check out vintage air or one of the street rod a/c sites. When I put a small block into my 38 chev coupe, I bought a universal kit and then I cut my lines etc. Took it to a garage and had them crimp all the lines, I put them on and they serviced the system for me.

I bought this:
Amazon.com: Mastercool 71550 Air Conditioner Hose Crimper: Automotive Amazon.com: Mastercool 71550 Air Conditioner Hose Crimper: Automotive

Something like this hose kit might be right up your alley:
http://nostalgicac.com/fittings-hose...-and-more.html

I suspect you could modify the kit if you need longer hoses or specific shape fittings.

These are the adapters to the compressor I bought. Make sure you have the same truck compressor. Mine mounts low on the passenger's side.

Here are some schematics I found helpful in planning the hoses and wiring. Note the coolant flow chart was for a completely different vehicle, but of course the system fundamentals all work the same way.

I used the trinary switch from Nostalgic Air to make sure the pressures were compatible with the compressor and the second part of the switch to trigger the cooling fan (along with the PCM).

The wiring diagram depicts how the system is wired as a stand-alone (not using GM BCM)

Hi.
Rarely / few times a year. You are welcome to come this way. Have a buddy with a 4.3 turbo trans am - about 500 HP. You could compare notes.

Maybe I can help you crimp your lines on, once they are mocked up and marked. IE. They'd all have to be indexed (from a rotational perspective) as the hoses are real stiff.
We wouldn't want to guess. Then again, if they are straight ends, all you'd have to do is mark where the gauge adapter fitting would point.
stay in touch.

I bought my lines from www.coldair.com and a much larger parallel flow condensor off Ebay. Total for all was about $175.00. I second the suggestion of a new receiver drier as well.

I have the lines coming. Are you around on the 9th? I'm tuning in Murietta on the 10th but could come a day early if you don't mind looking it over...

I'm around. Work from home. Could carve a little time out that day. Did u crimp the lines already?
First step after everything is hooked up is pull a vacuum and see if it holds.
