took the cable apart and trimmed about a foot and a half off the wire and cable body to cut it to perfect size so there wasnt tons of extra cable wrapped up in the engine bay

few holes in the firewall, nothing a little grinding and welding couldnt fix. plus, the old hole in front of the pedal was too large.

drilled out the old trailer hitch style ball on the side of the factory lever, ground down the end for more clearance for the end piece, and then it fit perfect!

unscrewed the old bump stop and just bought a screw to fit of the right length.. i feel like this should work just fine.. dont see why it wouldnt

have seen a few different crazy setups people have made, i just needed about a half inch more pedal travel, so i just made my own spacer out of some scrap i had layin around the garage.. found some screws in the random screw drawer and cut those down to the size i needed and wham bam hello, throttle pedal is taken care of

master cylinder was fairly easy, just unscrewed the old one and cut the lines since i wont be reusing any of the factory master cylinder stuff

had to throw the hood back on it to see what it looked like again. its been sittin on jacks without an engine for too long

gettin there

Never again will i question why custom made headers cost so much. 12 hours it took me so mock up some longtubes for this thing but hot derrrn they came out pretty. Now just gotta find a good welder i can trust in greensboro!

Love me a Z-car! Especially when it happens to have an American V8 under the hood.

Nice work on the Longtubes, too. Should work well for you. What's the rest of the exhaust going to entail?

thanks! im gonna so down to a single 3" with a race muffler or resonator in the middle like a cherry bomb or somethin with an electric cut out between that and another muffler at the back, somethin real quiet. its gonna have longtubes and a cam so its gonna scream regardless, i just dont want it to be too loud. thinkin about either a borla pro xs or a dynomax super turbo. somethin super quiet. i wanna hear myself think and not **** off the neighbors

But then he wouldn't have gotten to experience the pleasure of making his own longtubes.

If he wants more, a modest centrifugal blower will give him everything he needs to never have traction again.

To the OP, I would have the exhaust cut-out directly after the two sides converge at the "Y", aim it towards the passenger side, and run a short dump pipe off it exiting in front of the rear passenger side tire. And just have a nice quiet exhaust behind it.

It sounds like you are trying to have a dual tone exhaust. If that's the case. Get a single inlet/dual outlet muffler and put your cut-out over one of the two exits. That's essentially what GM did on the corvette.

True ^^ if a cammed ls1 for a datsun isnt enough ill just stick a blower on it. The cam in its good for boost and im sure the exhaust will flow plenty. Anywho, i got the headers done, should have them wrapped tomorrow, and i got the steam port tapped into the water pump. I would pretty sketched out drilling and tapping the water pump but what do yall think?
Now i just to figure out my water hoses 😒🔫
