My buddy used it on his west TX 55 Chevy pickup with 'original sun baked TX patina'. If you think pictures would help, I'll see if he can snap a few. I can tell you - it makes rusted areas darker with a bit more sheen. But each application is different depending on the existing patina. So pictures of someone else's may not tell you a thing about what yours is going to look like. Your mileage may vary depending on....
Have you considered just scuffing it to knock off the loose stuff and then having it shot with a satin clear? If protection is what you're after....

In my never ending quest for minor improvements, I decided to tackle a small issue that I've had since the start. For my stereo, I am using a little Kenwood Bluetooth amp. I made a video a while back about its features.
The amp has a built in USB port that I have been using to charge my phone. While this worked OK, I found that the phone charged very slowly and that if I was streaming Pandora, and was listening to it through the car stereo, the charger actually did not keep up. So over the course of a long road trip, the phone battery would eventually die.
So I went on Amazon and picked up a dual USB, 4.2amp (total) charging port. I was originally going to put it in the panel that holds the controls for the amp, but that was not going to work for various reasons. Instead, I opted to install it where the original cigarette lighter used to be inside the ash tray. This involved enlarging the hole to 1 1/8" which I did with a Dremel tool and a small carbide bit.

The charging port also has a voltage display, which is kind of handy to reference before even starting the car.

Nice thing about having it inside the ashtray is that it is completely invisible when not in use. Now the phone holds its charge while enjoying music on the road.

Good spot for that USB outlet. I recently got my cigarette lighter socket working again and put a USB adapter in there to keep the phone charged. It's funny how these amenities weren't even a thing fifteen years ago!
I just watched your youtube video on the DW200 pump install. I have exactly the same whine coming out of my Walbro 255 and it seems to be getting worse. I'm worried it's going to take a crap on me any day. It was great to see how quiet the DW200 ran at the end of the video. How is it doing for you long term? Do you have any part numbers on the unit you got?
I admittedly have a lot of catching up to do on your thread. Hitting the subscribe button now!

Appreciate the support!
The DW200 pump was installed last year and it seems to be operating without any issues. It is as quiet as it was the day that I installed it. Here is the exact one that I bought:
I hope that helps!

Thank you Andrew. Did that kit come with the sock that you used in the video? It looks like your Walbro had the same sock I have currently and the Deatschwerks sock you used was a little different, but would probably work on my PA-4 tray. Overall length is really important for fitment on mine because my tank is so short. It's really tough finding the application info and dimensions on these pumps for some reason.
