Hey jimmyg. The owner of the red truck is a former paint/body guy and painted his truck as well as helping the owner of the silver truck paint his.
He does really nice work and does quite a bit of work for employees here at Holley and other people around the Bowling Green KY area.

You were clear from the get-go that this was a preview, not a promise, but many folks seem unable or unwilling to keep that in mind. After running through this thread rather quickly I notice two things, 1. bad *** product for those who don't have the means to fabricate and 2. more folks should have said thank you, especially when you mentioned you're doing this on your own time. I'm lurking here because of the possibility these parts might fit the 88-98 trucks. Thanks again for your patience and taking time away from your personal life to keep fellow enthusiasts informed on this cool development. That's exactly how you build a loyal customer base. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for your positive comments; we're putting in a lot of effort on the development of our swap system components and it's reassuring to see it get noticed and appreciated. Yes, posting hard availability dates is something I'm very reluctant to do as it's merely an experienced guess on my part when I do.

I'll take some for you and post them up later this week...I confirmed with the truck owner that the brackets used were what came with the radiator.

Hey Hart_Rod, is there anything in particular you'd like news on? Most of everything has been released at this point and is selling. Just let me know what you need...

Big bump....

Has anyone tried these on a 4x4 yet? I hate the thought of running stock manifolds on a lifted 73 k10. I figure before I build the exhaust I'd try and find some headers.

I have some old pacesetter F-body headers mocked up in it now, but they fit like caca.

Todd, how is the fitment of the engine with a 4l80e?
Does the engine have to slide forward a lot to make room?

The 4L80 fitment is great as there is plenty of room in these trucks for transmission fitment. The red truck shown in this thread is equipped with a 4L80, so you can judge to fore/aft placement of the engine by those pics.

Default Trans Cross Member

Toddoky - I finally got around to installing my cross member for the last time and seemed to find a discrepancy between the directions and the hardware provided. See the photos, the directions state to install the 1/2 bolts from the bottom with the head facing the ground. The picture shows that the flange nuts are too large and would contact the cross member if installed correctly.

Did I receive the incorrect hardware or am I miss interpreting the directions?

Thanks

Hey ssmonte18. The "heads-down" reference to those two bolts is given so as to provide the greatest amount of ground clearance, but will work fine the other way as well. We may have received the flanged nuts from a new supplier and the flange head size may have exceeded the original specification for the size of the flange...I'll have to dig into here to figure out what is going on with the nuts. If you want to finish your install and have the bolts installed with the heads down as mentioned in the instructions, you can use a grinder to size down the flanges on the nuts slightly, or pick-up to non-flanged locking nuts locally to you. I know that's not a perfect solution for you, but it's all I can convey to you until I get the chance next week to dig into the issue.

Its not a huge problem for me, I'm a big fan of an engineered solutions for these applications. I just wanted to pass this along because this wasn't even close to working with any type of nut on top IMO. With the placement of the plate and the welds there was barely room left for the button head bolt.

Just an FYI so you guys can make improvements or catch a quality issue with the product or supplier.

I appreciate the feedback and will be looking into the design and packaging specs to confirm what the issue is.

Any details on how he hooked up the column gear selector to the transmission?

The original 700R4 PRNDL indicator on the column was used along with a Lokar universal shift linkage kit.
