Looks like these headers will work on the 88-98 trucks.

They very well may fit a number of other applications with decent results, but I can't recommend them for anything other than what I've personally validated their fitment on.

I have the shoenfeld headers on my 1992 chevy truck 2wd lowered and there headers are suppose to fit 1973-1999. So you guys should check that out. A lot of 1988-98 chevy truck ls swaps. I would like to get some stainless headers in the future.

I'll make note of your info in the project file. Unfortunately, there's just no time allotted in the development schedule to include fitment tests on side applications such as this. Doing so leads to scope creep and seriously affects your ability to complete projects on schedule. I currently have two swap projects ongoing and it will take all the time I have to finish those on time.

I do however appreciate your feedback.

Welcome to the thread Big Swol. The total means by which you've used to lower your truck will determine how successfully you'll be able to use the new Hooker parts. Is your engine crossmember stock, or did you notch it to get your truck lower? If your drop is done solely through suspension parts and your engine crossmember is stock, then you'll get the same benefits from these parts as someone who's truck is not as low as yours.

We appreciate your interest sleazymyk. These parts are developed from a system approach, but sold separately to allow you to put together your own "kit" specific to your needs/desires. You will need to tell me more as to what components you have interest in before I can give you some expected ballpark prices.

Thanks for the reply. I'm interested in the engine mount brackets, long tube headers, and cross member for now. If the price is right on the oil pan I may buy one in hopes of bagging the truck someday...this is going towards a 74 short wheelbase truck if there's a difference in years or long wheelbase trucks.

Yes, the parts will all fit your truck fine. The last question I need an answer to in order to help you further is what header material/finish are you interested in...painted mild steel, ceramic coated mild steel or raw stainless steel?

The availability/release of the parts will be in the following order:

1. Engine brackets- available now
2. Headers- will begin hitting the shelf in 1-2 weeks
3. Crossmember- 30-45 days
4. Exhaust system 30-45 days

The engine brackets are the existing Hooker 12621HKR part number.

Have you folks attempted to install these on a 4WD truck and seen what compatibility limitations you have run into?

The Holley oil pans and the Hooker engine brackets will work in those applications and there is a slight possibility the headers will as well. The transmission crossmember does not have sufficient drop in it to work on a 4WD truck and the exhaust system is rendered incompatible due to the location of the X crossover.

Sorry for my previous bone head reply to your thread, I meant to ask if you guys have attempted to fit the headers on the 4WD trucks, and if so, what issues have you ran into with these headers on 4WD trucks?

Thanks.

No attempt has been made at this point to test fit the headers on a 4WD truck.
