Default Factory Five LS Daytona Coupe (Update)

I have not done an update in a while so thought I would post some of the changes to the car.

1. 3 winters ago I painted the car (body off). It turned out really well.

2. 2 winters ago I installed a T56 in place of the TKO 500. This made me also change the exhaust a bit and it sounds awesome at full tilt!

3. This past winter I put a new cam in the car. I did a Texas Speed custom cam 221/226 .609/.605 113 LSA. I needed lots of grunt from 2500 all the way to 6000+ with no holes in the power. New cam sounds great, but I still need to tune it.

Thanks guys!

It is a Factory Five. I bought it in late 2007 and had it street legal and on the road in 2009. 450hp and 2260 lbs makes for a fun ride.

The downside is that it is not an easy car to drive fast on the track. The rear weight bias of the car causes it to be prone to oversteer. I have slowly removed weight from the rear which has helped, but the back still likes to come around at the limit.

Here is an example:

what mounts did you use as this seems to come set up for a ford powertrain.

I had it street legal for 28k. With paint and many changes (LS, T56, etc.) I am just over 30k.

I cut the old mounts off and made my own. A hole saw and a welder is all it takes.
