Decided to add some boost to the daily driver. Used Dirty Dingo top mount A/C setup, chosen because of the tensioner used. LSSimple accessory bracket that leans the truck alternator just enough to clear the throttle body. Switched to a SD tune, so far driven the truck around a bit on base tune. Going to dyno it shortly.

I was goiing to try to go down this route. Good to see that it works. I have Corvette accessories on the drivers side, I was going to use the Holley spacer to move them out to the truck belt location. What did you do for pulleys on the AC, PS, & Alt, did you change them to an 8 rib, or just use a 6 rib belt on all?

Trying the 6 rib for now, stock diameter blower pulley. Dyno will tell if there is belt slip, and I'll take it from there. My main goal was keeping top mount a/c setup I already had on the truck, and seeing if this arrangement would work out.

The pulley right below the throttle body, does that bolt to the accessory bracket or to the water pump?

You changed from high drivers mount vetter alt location, to what are you running now for that and power steering????

This may have already been answered, but is the CTS-V compressor the only low mount GM compressor that will work? And are the dimensions close to the C5/6 and truck compressor/bracket combos?

CTS-V, C5/6, alan grove and other aftermarkets

You need something on the corvette spacing unless you build a hybrid drive like the one at the top of the page

Anyone planning to run anything more than the stock pulley should avoid any 6 rib or hybrid drives at all costs. You WILL be chewing belts and be constantly dealing with slip

Found this link today. Seems like quite a bit of wrap for a 6 rib pulley. Also has good looking adapter plates and lid spacers.

This guy was one of the first to make these adapter brackets. He's got a whole thread about his development process.

Just want to add some info for anybody working on this.

I'm using the Holley accessory bracket, and the Holley ac bracket for a sanden compressor, along with the LSX concepts LSA supercharger drive. The Holley will not work with the supercharger drive without some mods.

The belt routing that holley gives you leaves the tensioner hitting the supercharger tensioner bracket, as well as leaving the belt rubbing the tensioner bracket mount on the other side.

My solution was to add a second idler pulley between the ac compressor and water pump. It actually gives both the compressor and water pump more wrap which is nice although not really any gains aside from looking cooler lol.

All I did was cut down a piece of aluminum, and drill the spacing for the tensioner, and put the new idler where I wanted. Changed the belt routing between the compressor and water pump and swapped the grooved and smooth pulleys as well. Finally you will have to measure your belt length, but the holley belt length they give you in their fitment guide was way off anyways.

Accessory belt tensioner before

Belt rubbing before

And an after without the blower tensioner installed to give a better look. Note the super complex and highly expensive idler pulley bracket built in my waterjet machine

Pocket, I was planning this conversion for my 2007 Tahoe. So using the 6 rib lssimple kit, you are saying belt slip will be a big problem?

So with this can you use the OEM supercharger brackets & drive system?

Edit: After looking at the OEM drive system, this only works with the LSXconcepts drive.

Yep only with the LSX Concepts drive. Would of loved to have the gm drive, but this build needed ac and would rather have ac and no blower, than blower and no ac

I hear ya. Holley has a new low mount AC bracket I am looking into, it will mount the small SD7 compressor, hopefully it will be small enough to clear frame, & if so I'll use it with the GM SC drive.

Have you tried the truck bracket and compressor? I test fitted the fbody one in my malibu with brp mounts. Wouldnt work without notching but im pretty sure the truck one is smaller
