Fuel pumps for swaps..
My project is a LQ4/4l80 in a 70 Nova. Cam only with milled heads..So not exactly fuel hungry.
Thanks guys.
Yes.. staying cooler fuel feeding is on advantage, the other 2 are less noise and longer service life. Granted many will say, these two are not an issue or that they had no problems of any kind with external, but what every works for you is the way to go.
But stay away with the CHEAP Walbro's.. as they may not be real one and a cheap knock off.
My 2 cents..

Honestly can't complain, the walbro lasted over 7 years but only about 10k miles. Could be a number of things that killed it, not going to say it's a bad pump at all.
Also can't say the areomotive pump makes any difference since I haven't had a chance to test drive the truck, really just got done a few hours ago and don't want to test drive at night
One thing to mention that makes me wonder if all of these various pumps are made in the same place and just labled for manufactures is that both the walbro and automotive pump have the same electrical connector.
The pump in the link is not a Delco unit though it is represented as such. I sent it back and picked up a genuine AC Delco EP381.

Word to the wise...I had a customer try to save a few bucks once and used an E-bay knock off 381...I don't have to tell you how that turned out...
For the same price as just a stealth kit, I could grab a tanks inc complete setup. Now that Ive seen the tanks inc setup..Ii obviously see how to go in tank! Thanks guys.

My tank IS a 1974-1981 (thicker than earlier gens), I did recess the bucket so it did not hit my trunk. I suspect the 1970 nova has the shorter tank like the early f body....so without cutting a hole into the trunk, other mods would need to be done.
That era was when Mercedes was designed by engineers vs. accountants. They are UBER high quality and reliable and pretty damned quiet (my exhaust is much louder). Just need an original one vs. aftermarket POS. I have a '92 500E (pre-AMG Porsche - built early super-sedan) and that's what it runs. 200k miles on the stock pump.
I've got 5k miles on my Gen IV L92 swap without a hiccup.
I just bought a spare here for $30 (I made an offer). http://www.ebay.com/itm/251965164988
Looks like he has one left.

Here's my pump. The OEM bracket has two. I just run one and keep the second for a spare. It is capped off.
Another shot of it after 4-link conversion.
Doug, I'm considering a Bosch 044. Porsche used them, and I don't recall any reliability issues. Is the Porsche spec 044 any different than any other 044? A local Porsche race shop says they're super reliable.
