What's the part number on the headers? And does it look like they would fit a stock k member?

If you don't run 11s then something is wrong. On a tune only 2005 lq4 with flipped exhaust manifolds I ran 12.20 with a headwind and using a $279 USD (new) torque converter . My 1/8 mile of 7.72 converts to 12.05 in the 1/4 which possibly could have happened if wind wasn't an issue. These motors are amazing, I only paid $560 Canadian for mine with 100 000 miles

Thx I appreciate it,I went and picked up the driveshaft earlier, however I needed a bigger pinion flange to fit the 1350 u joints.so it wont be in until Monday.
Did they actually let you run nines more than once without kicking you off the track?

the 1/8th mile track I run all the time and never teched. I actually have run numerous 6.0 passes there and never a problem. The 1/4 mile track I can run on test and tune and grudge days, but no events that are NHRA sanctioned.

my car looks completely stock, 10 holes and full interior. no visible gauges at all. So I never draw a lot of attention to myself.

if the price is right then might be a good cam especially for a 5.3. I always run split pattern cams because of nitrous. Do yo have a good tuner, that cam will def need a good tune for it to run right.

Alright,I was hoping to hear that.I know a few shops that are pretty good at tuning cars.. I can get that cam for around 150$ so I'll probably buy that in the next few days.

for the speedo I used Dakota digital. pricey but I wanted the stock look. tach, been now over 14 years, so I think the ecu harness has a signal wire I used. not sure how accurate it is but I let the trans shift itself.

my old 98 5.7 was cam only LS1 TSP 585 225, yank 3600 373 and DR's went 11:60's all day long. that combo lasted over 10 years, put on ported 799 CNC heads, Fast 98 and Fast 98 t body and it dropped to 10:90's. Still have all the parts to that motor, that was one of the best street able combo's I had, on the highway it got about 24-26 mpgs.

thx I'll have to look into that, I'd like to use my stock gauges.Found out my rear end has ford racing 4:10 gears.that should bring the quarter mile times down a little.(even though it sucks for highway driving)
