Default Fast 92 on Lq9 Porsche 996

In case anyone is wondering in the future. Yep it fits. Haha. I made a post awhile back asking alot of dimension questions, so i could figure this out. Finally got the chance to test it with hands on experience. I previously had a ls6 intake with truck tb. The fast 92 with ls3 90mm tb barely clears with maybe 1/4". My air intake could get interesting. Might have to cut more of my trunk

Unfortunately no. I talked about making one, but i just never got around to it. It always came down to "do i feel like working on the car or posting pics of working on the car?". Working on the car always ruled out, but i did take alot of pics. Haha. I guess i could still make one. Car has been done for awhile now. Just doing upgrades at this point.

Now your Teasing, how'd it dyno? Does your Porsche water temp quit at random times requiring a computer reset, if so, I found the computer power wire and put a toggle switch under the dash so when it does it I just toggle it off and on to get the gage to work again. Sometimes it will go for weeks without and then sometimes it will do it 3 times in 20min.

this is with just cam, decked heads, and ls6 intake. Im sending the heads out for porting pretty soon. That combined with the fast92 and ls3 tb i should be somewhere around 450whp. I haven't had any issues with my temp gauge. Always works fine. Only gauge i have issues with is the tach, but thats bc i made the mistake of running a 24x engine instead of 58x. O well. Problem fixed. Haha

Sweet build man. I use to own a 944 when I was a teenager and it was "cool" for being 17 years old. After I sold it and learned how to build cars over the next 13 years, I have always wanted to do a LS swapped 944 ever since....some day

Thx man. No time like the present to do the build! Renegade hybrids makes a kit to do it. Hell of alot easier to do a ls in a 944 than it is it a 911!

Can you please show pictures of your air filter/MAF setup or how much of the decklid material you had to cut away. Thanks!

Kiefers... as for the tach I opted to not tap into the crank position sensor wiring and took the gm rpm output and put that into a dakota digital tach signal converter then put the output to the tach gauge wire and also back into the Porsch ECU for tach. This keeps my PSM working. It still goes out from time (PSM off) to time but I think i just have to fine tune the dakota digital box.
