Default DBW gas pedals

So my question is pretty basic. What's the difference between a Corvette Pedal, a G8 or a Camaro. I've read where if your using one or the other and buying a wire loom then one pedal raises the price. So what's the difference?

From what I found in my swap, a GenIV pedal is a GenIV pedal. You just have to make sure the pin out for the plug matches the harness. I started with a G8 engine, pedal, ecm, but mounting and modifying the G8 pedal was tough, so I switched to an Impala pedal. Just had to switch plugs and match the pin out. The G8 pedal is all composite, so modifying it is super hard.

The Australian based Gen IV chassis (GTO and G8) have unique pedal plugs and pin-outs. As said above, all other Gen IV pedals are directly interchangeable. I like the Impala pedal as well. I used it on my GTO and Cougar builds.

Can you tell me how you re-pinned your G8 harness to the Impala pedal? What year pedal do I look for?

And it is compatible with the G8 throttlebody?

You just have to cut the g8 plug off and solder on the standard plug that all the other pedals use. You just need the two wiring diagrams to make sure the pin out is done right. Putting 5v reference where it's expected, signal where it's expected, etc. I can post the g8 pin outs that I used tomorrow morning. We've got well over 3000 miles on the g8 engine using the Impala pedal with no issues.

Anyone use the Dakota Digital CRC-1000 to make the cruise control work? Or did you do something different to make it work?

After having issues getting a couple of the all electric cruise modules to work (pedal error on startup), I had success going down the something different route. My application is a E67 LS4 using the matching w-body (Impala, Grand Prix, etc) pedal.

What I did was use the older cable based GM cruise module (AR, V8, and several other codes). Fabbed up some brackets on the DBW pedal and used the cable on the cruise module to pull down the pedal for a working cruise solution.



The brackets and cable ends up under the dash and I mounted the cruise module in the center console area.




I did rework the stationary bracket to get me more toe room for my size 12s and paint everything eventually:

I used this for my 78 Impala Landau with an LS3 E-Rod. It works great. I'm about to do the same for my 70 Monte Carlo with an LS3 E-Rod.
