What are you going to do about the shifter? I'm installing a 2014 6.2, L99 and I went with auto instead of the 6 speed as I didn't want to have to fab the linkage. I looked on the net for a set up but didn't find one. If there is one out there, LS3 with 6 speed is going in!
This is the mid-shift conversion kit I used. They call it a front shift.

No linkage. I'm running a concentric slave hydraulic setup. I'm running a factory C10 master cylinder to the factory GTO (LS) slave and using the GTO hydraulic lines which have really sweet quick disconnects throughout. The only adapter you need is at the master cylinder to go from 1/4" to 3/16" I think.
You should definitely do the 6 speed manual!!!

Mcleod Super Street Pro installed. I had one in my '67 GTO and was very happy with it. I only swapped it for a dual disc RST to handle the increased power from the blower.
T56 is in! Took a little floor "massaging" with a BFH, but I felt better about that then cutting a bunch of the tunnel out and fab'ing a new one (which I did in my GTO).
The Hooker trans crossmember sits pretty far back on the frame rails. I actually slotted the holes where the trans mounts (in the center) further back so I could move the crossmember forward. It sits right where the frame starts to curve (up on one side, down on the other), and the extra inch really helped.

Exhaust is complete and I couldn't be happier with it. The Speed Engineering headers are amazing and I can't say enough about them. $289!!! And the Hooker exhaust is pretty sweet. Dual 3"!!! The tailpipes hit the leaf spring when in full droop on the lift, but they fit nice at ride height. I guess if I don't jump the truck over railroad tracks or something, it'll be OK.
V-bands!
Tailpipe interference with leaf springs at full droop.

Nice job, I know that feels good. I'm driving my '91 though I still have a bit of cleaning up to do on it.
" Tailpipe interference with leaf springs at full droop. " That's why I had mine dumped before the axle, sounds good with no drone at all and no hitting anything especially since mine's dropped 4/6 so things are close under there.

Floor mat, seat (not pictured) and shifter boot installed. Shifter boot came out nice I think. I've got a couple hundred miles on the setup now and it's driving really nice. Pulls pretty hard, but feels slow compared to the GTO, which is not surprising. Dyno next Thursday morning! I'm hoping to have the nitrous all hooked up by then, but we'll see. The nitrous wiring is a little overwhelming.

Real nice job. I have a longbed 85 I did a 6.0 and a 4l60E and really wish I would of done the manual. I really cant get the full potential with the 4l60e in fear of tearing it up. Curious what you will dyno at the wheels , mines a thompson motorsports 6.0 iron block and it made 360 at the tires which is what I expected but really hating the automatic. Where you find your pedals? Once again real clean job.

I got the pedals off Ebay and they weren't cheap. I think they were around $300 or $350 but they are in great shape.
The biggest drawback to the T56 is the cost. Wow, is it expensive to swap one in. I bet the T56 swap alone cost me $4,000. $2100 for trans, then you need pedals, master cylinder, slave cylinder, forward shifter kit, shifter, cross member.

It's so much fun. And the T56 is so sweet. It just needs 4.10s to replace the 3.42s. 80mph in 6th gear is only 1800rpm! And, of course, a little more low end grunt never hurts.
There's still a fair amount of work left, but it's great to be driving it.
New England dragway in a couple weeks.

Very nice!! I'm in the middle of an LS1/4l80e swap. Really wanted to mount my pcm inside, but my PSI harness isn't long enough and I can't find room under the dash. Where did you get the rubber pieces for under the pcm mount??
I am using an LS3 camaro water pump, with the upper radiator hose Gates part # 23080. Same lower radiator hose as the 99+ trucks. The 2010+ Camaro pump uses the same belt spacing as the truck accessories if you decide you want something different in the future.
