"Jumping" a stock f-body harness, what am i missing?
I've searched until I went cross eyed, cannot figure out what I am missing. I'm trying to take the stock f body harness and rig it to power it up enough to start.
Here's what I have:
- lm7/t56
- stock 2002 f-body harness
- stock t56 f body ecu with vats bypassed
- fuel pump and starter being ran separately
Like I said, i'm just trying to temporarily fire this thing up, mostly just for the motivation of hearing it run. I've powered up all of the pink and orange wires in the C100, 101, and 105, double checked all sensors are plugged in, grounded the three on the rear drivers side and the one by the starter, and tested all points to insure good power and ground is there.
I'm sure I'm missing something, but cannot figure out what it is. No spark or fuel. Until I'm 100% sure that the wiring is correct, I will not chalk it up to a faulty sensor.
Any input is appreciated!

Do you have an OBD2 reader? The first thing I would do would connect to the OBD2 reader and see if the ECU is communicating. I use the $5 Amazon ELM327 reader connected to my phone or a tablet for my gauges. Even with the engine not running you'll be able to read the sensors (like CLT etc) if it's hooked up properly.
Also make sure you get all of the grounds connected properly.
If it doesn't have fuel and you've wired it separately, you'll obviously need to figure out what you did wrong

Those will only keep it from starting if there's a starter relay in the harness, which if he is trying to start it out of the car, there probably isn't one. I'm assuming he is getting it to crank, but not fire up.
To the OP, are you POSITIVE you have all the sensors hooked up? The crank sensor is behind the starter and is easy to miss. If that isn't it, and all the grounds are hooked up, I would start looking at things like stuck injectors. How long has the engine sat around?

yeah cranking separately so no need to trigger the starter relay.
Thanks for the input! I'll quadruple check but yeah I think they are all plugged in. Crank sensor is plugged in for sure. Any idea where all of the grounds are? As for stuck injectors, i'm not getting spark and the plugs aren't soaked so i'd assume it's just an electrical annoyance that's causing neither to work. Is there anything else i need to power up outside of the wires coming off of the C connectors?
ECM grounded as in it's casing? It's perched up on a plastic bracket on an f body so i assumed that wouldn't be needed.
