I decided to go a different route on the build.

I bought a 6.2 ls3 block and I am going to build a high compression 6.2.

I also made a little more progress on my headers. Hopefully I will have time over the holidays to finish them,

I also put my current engine up for sale if anyone is interested

A 6.2, NICE! Is it going to be n/a with the 6.2 or is boost planned for the future?

Nice job on the headers, lookin good so far. Cant wait to see the end result.

What are your plans for the 5.3?

got the block back from the machine shop today. Decided to finish up my new motor mounts and make sure my headers still fit correctly with the motor slightly moved.

I know they are cathedral port heads in the picture with a rectangle port manifold

Got the motor on the dyno a few weeks ago and made 550whp, not exactly where i wanted to be but still go. I think i was having valve float issues.

I then put in stiffer springs and ran it again. At that point i had a piece of valve guide break off and fall into the motor.

It caused mild damage to one of the pistons and damaged the head.

The heads are at a machine shop getting repaired.

While the motor is apart i decided to switch to a solid roller cam.

I ordered a custom cam from cam motion.

I cant wait to see the results

The low numbers at the begining of the dyno chart are from me rolling into the throttle to prevent wheel spin.

Interested to see the solid roller setup. How high are you trying to spin it?

I checked the cc's of the heads since he had to cut them to repair the damage.

Motor is closer to 14:1 now which is what i was originally shooting for.

Also my Cam Motion llsr cam came in

Im still waiting on my shaft mount rockers to come in.
