Dirty Dingo slide without hoist?

Was curious if I could slide my engine/trans back on the dirty dingo sliders without a hoist?

I have never been able to especially with the tranny attached.

With the correct length pry bar,suitable fulcrum and enough force, moving almost anything is possible...

You can in many ways. The way I done it was with a come along, was easy.

Floor jack on the oil pan to take some of the weight off worked for me.

Since this is a Dirty Dingo thread might I ask since the motor mount thru bolt is also slotted up and down. What is the best way to center the mounts?

I put the floor jack under the trans to remove some weight, then grabbed the tail end of the trans and moved it back and forth while pulling. It moved much easier than I thought.

If anyone’s comes across this in the future , I moved mine today really easy. Loosened bolts on the dd’s, loosened trans mount bolts and jacked up the front of the trans pan. Was able to push the motor back really easy. Just needed clearance between my pan and crossmember.
