Thanks guys! The stock look is what I was going for, just personal preference, but I like them that way. I took it out for a bit tonight between torrential down pours, and got some done pics. I'm beginning to think its never going to stop raining now.....
I looked at a 72 that was, "restored" for $10k. From the outside, it looked pretty good. Open the hood or look under it, and the story changes rather quickly. The engine was a V8 and not the correct small block, it was rattle bombed by a 5-year-old, the engine bay and underbody had been power washed and spray bombed flat black. The seat was from a newer truck and the wrong colors and stitching, no headliner and the dash was cut up for a DIN.5 radio. I mean it was hacked all to hell. I apologized to the truck and promptly left the scene of the crime.
I saw this truck yesterday at the Street Rod Nationals in Springfield, very nice truck! Nice to meet you Eric.
Nice to meet you too, Mike.

On Friday I finished charging the A/C. It seems to be working pretty well, it was humid as hell that day as you can probably tell by the condensation.
Started fogging up the outside of the windows while running in the garage.
So then as stated above, I drove the truck to Springfield on Saturday for the Mid America Street Rod Nationals. Made it down in a bit of rain, but otherwise wasn't a bad trip. When I got there I stopped by the carwash to give the truck a quick ***** bath, and when I got around to the rear bumper I noticed it had a film of oil on it. Looking under the truck I noticed oil dripping off the rear end, uggh! Figured it was the pinion seal I replaced that had bought the farm. So I continued on to the show thinking that it couldn't have leaked that much, then once at the show I crawled under it to get a closer look. Felt around the pinion and it was dry, hmmmm... Then I was getting concerned thinking the housing was cracked or something since there was no other place for it to leak from when I found the cause..... Apparently when I filled the axle with gear lube, I failed to tighten the fill plug and it fell out, and covered the underside of the truck in oil. Then I found out auto part stores don't sell plugs, but a friend of mine suggested I try a hardware store pipe plug, so that's what I did. Had another friend of mine who was there take me to get the plug and some gear oil, got it put in and was back on the road! Cruised the fairgrounds with the windows up and the A/C on because I think the dog was about to stroke out! It did great, never even began to get hot, then made it home without incident after that.
The dog is relaxing in the A/C here.
I realized on the way back that I hadn't taken any pics of the truck at the show, so I took this one at Osceola cheese on the way back. I usually stop there on the way back from the Ozarks, its pretty well known if you live in Missouri. Spent Sunday pressure washing the underside of the truck, and now it is all good again.
I have a question on the front sway bar bushings, I was lucky enough to get one just like yours but having trouble finding the correct bushings. Would you happen to know what the part number is for them? When I search for them on ebay it keeps pulling the bushings for a 1500, 2500, and 3500 and I know thats not right.

I dont have a part number, but I ordered them on Rockauto. I just went off the sizes they listed in the description.
On the frame I used a semi gloss black urethane, single stage, no clear or anything. Its sold as a 'hot rod primer', but since its urethane it wont hold moisture like regular primer does.
