How water/weatherproof are these ECUs? I planned on mounting mine under the hood but I’m seeing feedback that the unit isn’t water tight.

Having issues with Terminator X Max. DBW is in limp mode. Brake light switch is wired correctly and it operates as it should however on display it shows Brake On whether I step on the brakes or not. TPS shows 18% and it only goes to 29% when I push the gas pedal. Everything is new. I even tried disconnecting red/white wire, same thing.

Any ideas?

i mounted mine on the fenderwell. I dont think you will have an issue, the connectors and wires are fully sealed, and i believe the case is oringed. It has a vent but its got a little cover on it like a pelican case.

Unhook the red/white wire from the brake switch. If the issue goes away, then there is clearly something wrong with your brake switch.

Is there a way to have a rotary switch select multiple boost tables?

Not with Terminator X. Only with Dominator.

You can do it on terminator with a normal switch, so you can have wastegate or boost setting A as default, push a switch for boost setting B, then have a scramble button as well.

Yea I mean, for now, its wastegate boost and if I turn on the compressor, boost control would get more.

Just was curious if I could make almost a valet tune etc.

Check with the sponsors. Black Friday deals are coming up. I went through a sponsor and they knocked a fair amount off of the Terminator X I bought last year.

Exactly if a dealer wants a sale they can provide it to you a good bit less then website price, you can knock $100 off and they still make a profit.

Holley has MAP pricing so it will always e advertised the same price everywhere. Usually at Christmas holley will go on sale but not for terminator x. We can sell it for whatever we want just cant list it any cheaper. We sell tons of terminators and spend alot of time on the phone and through email daily doing support. Price isnt everything if you dont get any support after the sale. Since we install and tune them everyday I feel like our support is better than a big box store reading off a tech card.

On a terminator x there is not alot of mark up, thats how holley sells them cheaper. They cut alot of the dealer profit out on them. A $100 off the base terminator x once I ship it, pay credit processing (or paypal fee's) there is nothing left.

True if you are giving support after the sale its worth whatever someone wants to pay. Guess it depends on your distributor agreement and what percentage you wanna stick in the drawer, but you can certainly make a few bucks at cheaper then Holley, jegs and summit sell them for.

its worth paying a few extra dollars to get good tech support. the holley tech line is weak at best and they have deleted my forum account like 5 times with no notification or reason, my login just doesnt work and my email isnt in their system when i try to recover my password, so asking for help there is effectively impossible for me.

I’m getting to the tail end of the harness/sensor install portion of my build. I haven’t fabricated an intake yet, but have a general idea of what I’ll be doing, likely mostly using the stock air box with modifications to the intake tubing as needed.

My question is that the Terminator X requires a Manifold Air Temp Sensor. Since my donor’s factory intake already utilized a MAF with MAT built in, is it possible to just build my own adapter harness and plug the Terminator X into the MAT portion of the MAF? Will this read the same as a regular MAT sensor?

If you know the output curve of your existing MAT sensor, then you can do a custom sensor calibration.

I don’t actually have a current one aside from the air intake included with the engine. In fact, I’ll have to look to even see what type of sensor is on it.

You can mount the sensor anywhere in the intake tube or even in the intake manifold. Different locations require slightly different tuning approaches. The Holley sensor is a screw in style but you can also use the AC Delco 213-4663 as a push in style into a grommet.
