Default LS Cast EX. Manifolds

Has anyone used the Hooker or Patriot cast exhaust manifolds for an LS into an S10...I've a 98 S10 / L33 5.3 / 4L65E and don't want to use headers.

I'm sure they would fit just fine. Most that use cast manifolds put v band flanges on and use them in a turbo app

They do fit tight and should clear in an S-10.

The Hooker 71223026HKR exhaust manifolds were designed specifically for the S10 application.

Yes, I understand that, just trying to find out if anyone ran into any problems due to type of mounts etc. they used.

Could you please offer some details on the front suspension? And frame?
I have a stock 1951 F1 frame with modified mustang II by heidts. And home designed 4 link.
with L92 and 6L80. The combo rips!

The clearances on an S10 are so tight I don't think there's room for much difference in mounts specifically designed for an LS swap... of course, the would want you to buy their mounts

Hey DW

It's a FlatOut crossmember kit for the C4, the original frame has been fully boxed front to back. The truck drives like a slot car now.

That is really awesome looking kit. Thanks for the info.
My heidts superride II is state of the art, 1990, I think (or maybe 1985!). I'd much prefer to have sealed OEM-style ball joints, aluminum control arms, access to nice brake kits (for C4), OEM-grade bushings on the inboard side of the A-arms, too.
Sorry, OP, to dilute your thread.
BTW - I use C6 Ls3 exhaust manifolds on my L92 (6.2 aluminum engine like LS3). It also fits my very narrow 1951 F1 frame like Clay Bob's. They were good for 480 horse in the corvette and cheap. Might be an option for you.

Cheers,

Doug
