Speaking of commerce scams………. I like the knife commercials that show the cutting a metal can but they don’t use the whole knife blade. Normally a small section towards the handle, then the cut tomatoes with the tip. Such a scam LOL

CLR,
that’s pretty cool. I’ve never eve. Thought about using that before. Does it leave behind some sort of protective coating like specific use rust converter “paint” ?????

Not really an update but i ordered a rear seat cover that blocks off the trunk from the cabin. Works ok. May need to throw sound deadener on it. But with that and the back seats put in the sound has gone down quite a bit inside.

For the past 2 weeks i've been doing a swap on an 84 S10. Just finished yesterday and the guy picked it up. Was an absolute pain, only because I didn't know what to expect before the swap. I assumed being a chevy it would be smooth as butter. It showed me otherwise. Absolutely gave me an *** kicking lol. Was actually easier to LS swap the Cuda... lol. But I got it done and the guy got a running and driving S10. Only paid me $2000 for labor. He definitely got the better end of the deal lol.

Im trying to make it a "business" to do LS swaps at my house but obviously not being a shop makes getting customers difficult. We'll see how it goes. Just trying to make Cuda money.

Curious what on the s10 did you struggle on? It's not easy getting the actual engine in with a trans on it, which still baffles me, but once it's in. I guess I've done mine more than enough, so I've forgotten the struggles. I did my swap 10 years ago.

Just not knowing ahead of time that you have to notch the frame so the oil pan clears, then you have to absolutely destroy the passenger side corner of the firewall. I took the engine and transmission out, without exaggerating, 13 times. Then, i got it all in, bolted down, go to start it to build oil pressure and it started making a metal clanking sound... Had to pull it, pull it all back apart to check it, put 3 different flex plates on it, along with 2 used starters to figure out it just needed a new starter. Then, after that I got it all back in, bolted in for good then was able to finish the swap. Took me 4 days to get it bolted in. Took 4 hours to get it running... lol. I posted 2 videos on youtube of the swap but I stopped recording after the 2nd video because it was just a debacle after that day.

Now im working on an 85 c10 shortbed. Its getting a completely rebuilt LQ4 with a monster cam in it. I might make videos on this swap as it should be MUCH easier.

Well that c10 is done and out of the way. After hearing the cam in it, i really want to cam the Cuda now. But, still not happening anytime soon. The first swap I did is back for some minor work and im cleaning up the rats nest of wiring brought to me by a guy that did his own swap.... But, I found some time to mess with the Cuda. I got to finally painting the radiator and putting on a set of black spark plug wires which are also porcelain on the ends. They were only $75 on Amazon.

Finally got around to putting a passenger seat in the Cuda. Found it for $40 on marketplace. It has sliders but no handle... But not hard to slide if i need it to. I also finally put in some ebay carpet i bought a couple months ago. Just need to order more and put it on the driver side.

Also, found out that the Cuda is going to be featured in Hot Rod Magazine! Imagine that, this literal pile of junk in a magazine. Crazy!

I wonder what catchy name they will give it on the title?

Good question. I wasn't aware they give catchy names. Hopefully something along the lines of what I already call it "KrustyCuda" but we'll find out. I haven't had any info on the process after I sent the story behind the car, why i built it and some pics so, we'll see.

Not sure, guess we'll find out. Steven Rupp is the one writing it too. He just happened to be in my group on Facebook and finally saw my car.

What is this thing you call... a "magazine?"

Makes me miss Popular Hotrodding, Car Craft, Pontiac High Performance, and GM High Performance. :-(

Man. The car is NOT disappointing on the internet. If you get a chance, go check out the comments on Hot Rods Facebook page for the post lol. LOVE that grown folks get all hot and bothered about other peoples cars. Itll never get old.

Congratulations on the article! You could always print it out and have it laminated and or put in a large poster frame

those magazines did this to themselves. You buy a subscription, then in 2-3 months, they self you three or four months of old/ backdated issues to count towards your subscription. Every time. While I do miss them, I’m glad it bit them in the ***. Serves them right for using those Tactics.
